It has been a week since Rory moved into her new home. She has been busy at the Stars Hollow Gazette and the Inn. Jess had to go back to Philadelphia, but promised Rory he will be back this weekend.

Rory is now eighteen weeks into her pregnancy and there is no more hiding the baby bump. As she walks through town, townsfolk tend to mention the baby bump.

Rory and Lorelai were at the Gilmore kitchen eating Al's Pancake House takeouts when Rory mentions a thought she has been having since New Years.

"Mom, I have been thinking about moving to Philadelphia."

"Has Jess been pressuring you?" Lorelai asks.

"No, Jess doesn't even know. I have been secretly doing my pros and cons list. I mean I fell in love with the city while I was there. It has a lot more opportunities for me and the baby. I can work at any of the newspapers in Philadelphia. Go to school at University of Pennsylvania. It has great opportunities. There are cons to moving also. I will be away from you."

"Hon, I love that you want to consider me in your decision. I will miss you if you go. Have you thought about a job and support system there?"

"I have turned in my resume to a couple of newspapers and some digital magazines. Hopefully I hear something soon."

"Do you have a timeline for this move?" Lorelai asks.

"Well, the Bean is going to be entering this world in five months. So that's the timeline."

"Are you telling me my grandchild will be in West Philadelphia, born and raised. On the playground is where he will spend most of his days?"

Rory laughs at the visual. "Do we have any relatives in Bel Air?"

"I can ask Emily." Lorelai jokes. "But seriously, you have really given this some thought."

"I love him, mom. And as much as I love Stars Hollow, I can't be a small town newspaper editor forever. I want to explore the world. I just am thinking about it."

"I trust you know what you want and where you are going. Just make sure your pros and cons list don't just include Jess."

"Don't worry, mom."

Rory is back in her apartment, working on an article for the Gazette when someone knocks on the door.

Rory goes to open it and is surprised to see Jess standing at her doorway. Rory jumps into Jess's arms and kisses him.

"I should start surprising you more often." Jess says as he pulls Rory closer to his body.

"Yes, I agree. What are you doing here? You said you won't come back until Friday, and it's only Thursday."

"That's why it's called a surprise, Rory.

Rory leads Jess into her apartment. Once she closes the door, Jess drops his bag, grabs hold of Rory, and kisses her some more. "I miss this." Jess says.

"Hmm, I miss it too." They proceed to kiss and head to the bedroom.

An hour later, Jess and Rory lay in bed together, entangled in each other's arms.

"Jess, I want to talk to you about something."

"Ok."

"I was thinking about moving to Philadelphia. I have already turned in applications and my resume and portfolios to some local publications there. I have also applied to enter the graduate program at University of Pennsylvania in communications. I want to know what you think."

"Rory, have you really given this some thought? I mean your mom and Luke lives here. The whole town is your support system. Bean is already part of this town."

"I haven't really been living here for the past four years. I never really planned on staying. But when the stick showed two lines, I became scared. Slowly I am becoming the old me. I mean my mom raised me at 16 years old, single, with no support system. I believe I can totally do this." Rory says with determination.

"I believe you can also." Jess proceeds to kiss her more deeply.

Later, while Jess checks in with his uncle, Rory gets a phone call. Caller ID says it's Logan.

"Hey Logan." Rory answers her phone.

"Hey, Ace. What are you doing?"

"I am currently working on an article for the local newspaper. It's all about the benefits of sewer system vs. septic tanks."

Logan laughs. "The joys of small town news. So how's the baby?"

"Kicking up a storm in there. For some reason he likes to start kicking just when I am about to sleep."

"Ha. That's funny. So I got a phone call from Mitchum. He wants to schedule a time to meet with you and I."

"I don't think I am ready for this."

"Neither am I, Ace. I have no idea what he wants or what he wants to say. But we can't keep running from him." Logan says.

"When does he want to meet?" Rory asks with trepidation.

"He will be in town same time I will for the ultrasound. So probably around then."

"Oh, that's going to be exciting." Rory says sarcastically.
