Rory and Jess spent two more days in New York. They attended some concerts in the park, got to visit the 9/11 memorial, and visit the record store they went to previously 15 years ago.

While there, Rory was surprised to find a Go-Go album signed by Belinda, similar to what she bought for her mom but lost years ago.

Rory took advantage of finding this treasure and bought it. Jess whispers "Just don't leave it in the bus this time."

They head back to Philadelphia and start preparing for the move. Jess surprises Rory with a crib and changing table.

"Jess I already have one." Rory says.

"I know. But I thought that could stay at your mom's so that when we visit, Richard has a place to stay." Jess explains.

"Aww, Jess. I love you."

Monday afternoon, Rory pulls up to the Philadelphia Magazine office. She walks into the reception, and tells the receptionist she has an appointment with Mrs. Nordiff.

As she waits for Mrs. Nordiff, Rory's cellphone beeps. She checks it to see a message from Jess. "Good luck. You don't need it. But good luck anyway."

"Thanks, Jess." Rory texts back.

A lady approaches Rory, "Ms. Gilmore?"

"Yes, hi." Rory stands and shakes her hand.

"I'm Alexandra Nordiff. Thank you for coming to meet with me." Mrs. Nordiff leads Rory to her office.

"So, Lorelai," she starts.

"Rory, please." Rory insists.

"Ok, Rory. What do you know about our magazine?"

"I know that you print out a monthly magazine. That started in 1908. You launched a daily news and opinion site called The Philly Post, but in 2013, the site was redesigned and rename The Philly Mag."

"I'm happy you did your research, Rory. I would like to ask why you want to work here." Mrs. Nordiff asks.

"Well, I am moving to Philadelphia soon I would like to work in a well respected news organization, that also provides room to grow."

"Now I see you have a lot of background working with politics. Would you be ok with writing articles about special events throughout the city?"

"Yes, ma'am. I feel I have to start somewhere. Then hopefully work my way up."

"Now I notice you're pregnant."

"Yes, I am 23 weeks along. I plan on working until the baby comes."

"Ok, I just have one more question before discussing salary. How do you know Logan Huntzberger?" Mrs. Nordiff asks.

That question shocked Rory. "May I ask why do you want to know?"

"Well, he called this office last week giving you a personal recommendation. The Huntzbergers aren't exactly known for their glowing reviews of reporters."

"Well, Mrs. Nordiff," Rory starts.

"Alex, please."

"Alex, Logan and I have known each other since college. Please don't think I asked him to do anything to get this job."

"Don't worry. Before he even called, we were already wanting to hire you." Alex says. "Ok, so let's talk salary and starting date."

*****

Rory is elated when she heads home. She is surprised to see Jess there.

"Hey, I thought you were working late." Rory says. She takes off her coat, hangs it in the closet and heads to the living room.

"Meeting got canceled." Jess walks to Rory and gives her a hug and kiss. "So how was your meeting?"

"It was good. My feet are so tired from today." Rory laughs as she sits on the couch and puts her feet up.

"Alex and I discussed salary. She said one of the benefits of working in the internet magazine is I don't have to come to the office a lot of times. I can work at home. Just turn in my articles to the newspaper. I work with two other people writing about special events. And since I am a newbie, I have last choice on what to write. I just have to pop in the office at least once a week to get new assignments. They offer me 3 weeks of paid maternity leave. I feel like I will be a great fit."

"That's great. I'm happy for you. I always knew you could get this job." Jess says.

"I should tell you something, Jess. Logan helped me get the job. He called their office and gave me recommendations. Kind of told them to hire me." Rory admits.

"Well his family owns most of the newspapers in this country and you're carrying his child. That's the least he could do." Jess says.

"You're not mad?"

"Why would I be? I told you. I love you. I know Logan will always be in your life and by extension mine. I am fine with it." Jess reassures her and kisses Rory on the forehead.

Rory and Jess sits and eat their dinner. "So now we have to work out the logistics of you moving here." Jess says.

"Yeah. I am dreading that. I need to find someone to take over my lease. And somewhere to move all the furniture since I won't need all that stuff."

"I have a suggestion on who to take over your lease. I am not sure how happy Luke will be about it." Jess says.

"Who?"

"Kirk. I think it's time he moves out of his mom's house finally. Lulu, Petal and him can move in."

"Luke doesn't even want a dog. And you would think he would be ok with a pig?" Rory laughs.

"You never know." Jess gets up to wash the dishes.

"I'll talk to Luke about it. I was thinking moving a lot of the furniture into Luke's old apartment so we can always have a place there when we visit. What do you think?"

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Are you also going to talk to Doose about the Gazette?" Jess asks.

"The Gazette. Ugh. Taylor is probably going to shut that down. He was going to do it anyway if I didn't step up as editor."

"That's sad." Jess walks over to Rory, caresses her face and asks, "Do you have any regrets?"

"About moving here? No. I love this city. And most importantly, I love you." Rory stands up and kisses Jess.
