We were bored. Absolutely, positively, bored.

The Bounty had some blown circuits so there was no power. That meant no TV, no video games, no Wi-Fi.

Nya and Sensei had gone to the nearest town to get supplies to fix it but for now that left six boys with nothing to do.

"I'm bored." I moaned for the hundredth time. "We know. But there's nothing we can do that's any fun without power." Kai pointed out.

"I don't get it." Cole started, "I remember when I was little I could keep my self busy for hours with a stick and a puddle of mud."

"Oh come on. Little kids can stay busy for hours with anything. Lloyd's been reading comic books since Sensei and Nya left this morning." Jay said motioning to Lloyd who was sitting in a corner reading without a care in the world.

"To be perfectly fair at a young age one is just less critical. So it only seem as if they are easily entertained. If we were to give some thing such as reading or drawing a fair chance we would no longer be bored." Zane explained.

I chuckled to myself. "What's so funny?" Cole asked. I didn't answer him. Instead I turned to Kai and said, "Remember the Trouble Parade to Sky City?"

He laughed, "How could I forget? It was the first time we got grounded and boy did we deserve it!" "Well don't just sit there. Tell us the story!" said Jay, bouncing like Lloyd on a sugar high.

By now Lloyd had put down his comic and was sitting on the floor next to Jay with the same eager look on his face.

"I'm guessing you finished your comics and need something to do." He nodded and Zane gave me the 'go on' gesture.

I shrugged and started, "Let's see... It was back when my family lived in Ignacia..."

-------~FLASHBACK~-------
Kai Smith and Omar James were best friends from the moment they met at age 1 1/2.

So naturally by age four they were spending every waking moment together. And a few sleeping ones.

On this faithful day they were bored of all their toys and looking for something to do. "Let's have a pawade. Like we saw on T.V.." Kai suggested.

They ran to Omar's house to get some pots and pans for drums. Then back to Kai's to get his wagon to be the main (and only) float.

They even grabbed a two-year-old Nya so the float wouldn't be empty.

Then they took turns leading the parade in circles around the yard.

They probably would have done that all day if Omar's older brother and sister hadn't come outside to see what they were up to.

"What are you doing?" 6-year-old Bethany asked. "Having a pawade." Omar replied as they continued in circles. "Parades don't go in circles." Said 9-year-old Carter.

"This one does. We're not suppose to leave the yard without a gwown-up." Kai said matter-a-factly. "I'm grown up." Bethany boasted.

"No you're not." Her older brother told her, "But I am. Come on. Lets make this a real parade!" With that they marched out the yard with Carter in the lead.

First they went down the street. Then around the neighborhood. Then out of the village. They kept going until they got all the way to Sky City. An hour drive away!

It was dark by the time they reached the main square. As they looked around at all the bright lights a police officer came to ask what they were doing.

They told him about the parade and he told them to follow him. An hour later they were all on their way home in their parents car.

"What were you thinking?!" Their mother shrieked, "No one knew where you were! You could've been kidnapped or worse, killed!"

"But we were just trying to make their little kiddy parade more interesting." Bethany sulked. "That's not the point." Their father said. "I expect you two as the oldest to know better."

"But Dad," Carter protested, "We just went for a walk. A long, six hour, walk." But their parents had stopped listening.

When they got home they were all confined to their rooms for two weeks.
-----~END OF FLASHBACK~-----

"Did you really walk all the way to Sky City?" Lloyd asked. "Yep." Kai replied. "A nine-year-old, a six-year-old, two four-year-olds and a two-year-old."

"No one stopped us so really it's not our fault." I added. Just then the TV suddenly turned on and Nya walked in the room.

"When did you get home?" Cole asked. "About an hour ago." She laughed, "You guys were enjoying yourselves so much you didn't hear us come in."

We all looked at each other in shock. "What should we do now?" Zane asked. I picked up the remote and turned off the TV.

"Someone else's turn to tell a story. Jay, you're up!" I smiled.
