After The Final Battle Sensei bought Darkly's Boarding School. And as soon as it opens we all get to be teachers. (Insert sarcastic yay here)

On this fateful morning I was eating my breakfast when my phone rang. It was my monthly reminder to visit my family. Not gonna happen.

Last time I visited it was just me and parents. (My brothers and sisters were had gone to the movies. Lucky ducks.) It was torture. All they wanted to do was talk about how glad they were that I had such a sweet girlfriend and when they were really going to get to meet her property.

(#1 Crystal is NOT my girlfriend #2 She is the opposite of sweet #3 I'm going to do everything in my power to keep them away from her so there!)

"You guys had better get ready to go." Jay said say he came in the kitchen with Zane, Cole and Sensei right behind him. (Lloyd was spending the weekend with his parents. Or maybe he was accepting another award for saving Ninjago. It's kinda hard to keep track of him lately.)

"Get ready to go where?" Crystal whined from beside me. "We need to do a final check on the dorms to make sure they're suitable for the students to live in." Zane reminded us. Oh yeah. I'd been trying to forget it was still a boarding school. We would each be in charge of a dorm and the kids that would live there.

"Oh, that's today?" Kai asked faking innocence. He looked around for an excuse not to go and his eyes landed on my phone. "Wish we could but we were going to visit Omar's family today." He said quickly. Wait, what?! Please tell me he did not just volunteer me to go my parent's house.

Sensei raised an eyebrow and looked from Kai to me to the girls, seeing if anyone would call Kai's bluff. "Very well. Your teammates will check your dorms. Enjoy your visit." He said as he headed out. The others shot daggers at us but went after Sensei.

"What the slurp did you do that for?" I moaned once they were out of earshot. "If you'd rather do chores be my guest but school is the last thing I want to think about right now." Kai said as went to get dressed.

"Come on Omar your family is really nice. You should visit them more often." Nya added as she followed her brother. "Besides they seemed pretty cool when I meet them that time on the dock." Crystal finished as she left. I guess we're visiting my family.

We rode the bus to my old neighborhood and walked the last few blocks. Just as we got to my block a big man rammed into Crystal and didn't even stop to apologize. She was about to chase after him and teach him some manners but I grabbed her hand and l led her down the street.

When we got to my house I rang the doorbell and braced for embarrassment. "Omar sweetheart! So good to see you!" My mom squealed when she opened the door. "Kai, Nya and it's Crystal right? Come in. Come in."

Mom caught my eye and grinned. As I wondered what she was so happy about it dawned on me. I was still holding Crystal's hand! I released my grip and let her pull us into the living room where the twins and Stephanie were playing.

"Omar!" Mack and Jack cheered when they saw me. I crouched down and gave them their hugs. As I let them go my not-so-baby sister toddled up to me. "Jidder!" She squealed as I lifted her up. She waved at Kai and Nya. "Pwetty wady Jidder." She said pointing at Crystal. I saw Crystal blush as she sat across me.

"Bethany! Cater! Come give your brother a hug!" My mother called upstairs. By the time my older siblings came down mom was showing the girls old photo albums and telling the stories that went with them much to my and Kai's horror. "Awww you two were cute." Crystal said half teasingly.

"What's this picture?" Nya asked peaking my interest. I lean over to see what they were looking at then groaned at the sight. On the page was a picture of Kai and me when we were about 2. We were sitting on the floor wearing pots and pans on our heads and crying our little hearts out.

"That was night you were born." My mother told her. "Carter was supposed to be watching these two while I put Bethany to bed..."

----------~FLASHBACK~----------

From the time the two boys could crawl Kai and Omar had a way of getting into trouble. Omar's parents were babysitting Kai while his parents were at the hospital awaiting the birth of their daughter.

The two boys had gotten bored of all their toys and crawled into the kitchen to find something else to do.

Opening the cupboard doors they found pots and pans (which made great helmets) and grilling tools (that doubled as swords). Being the adventurous little boys they were they decided to play knight and spent the next few minutes hitting each other over the head with their 'swords'.

They were having a great time until Kai missed and poked Omar in the eye with his spoon. The little boy started screaming. But when he tried to exact his revenge the fork he was using as a weapon cut Kai above his eyebrow. By the time Mr. James ran in the two boys were both crying hysterically and ready for bed.

  -----~END OF FASHBACK~-----

"OK time to go." I announced at the end of the story. I'd rather go home and do chores then sit through another round of embarrassment. "Omar is right we have a long bus ride ahead of us and we wouldn't want to break curfew." Kai fibbed. Apparently he agreed with me.

Jack and Mack tugged on my mom's leg and whispered in her ear. "You'd have to ask for yourself." My mom smiled. "Ask what?" Crystal inquired. "They want to ask you a few questions." My mother explained. Crystal shrugged and bent down to the twins level. I sat back down. This could take a while.

They asked if she was a real ninja. She said yes and spun on her gi to prove it. They asked why she didn't like Kai. She lied and said he was evil. (Mack kicked him in the leg (for being evil.)) But it was there last question that ruined my day.

"Are you going to marry our brother?" Jack asked a little to eagerly. At that moment I ran headfirst into the wall and wished for a sinkhole to open up and swallow me. Crystal on the other hand took this very calmly. "He'd have to ask me." She smiled.

"Would you say yes?" Mack asked. Crystal motioned for them to come closer and whispered her answer in their ears. It seemed to satisfy them and they ran out the room.

Once we were safely down the street and waiting for the bus I couldn't help but wonder. "Out of curiosity what did you tell them?" I asked Crystal. She smiled slyly at me. "If you want to know badly enough you'll ask me yourself."

At the time I'm writing this I'm only 14 and Crystal just turned 13. So I can't just ask her something like that. I guess it'll have to wait.
