"Cal! Wait for me!" Ashton shouted, running after Calum, who was skipping through the trees in the forest behind his house.

"Hurry up you slow poke!" Calum responded, turning his head slightly and sticking his tongue out childishly at his boyfriend. He then started to run, laughing, and Ashton laughed and ran, trying to catch up with him.

They ran together through the woods for no reason, just smiling and enjoying the moment. Soon they both were exhausted and decided to sit down on a fallen tree.

"T-that was the m-most fun I've ha-had in a while," Calum exclaimed breathlessly.

"I se-second that," Ashton agreed, also breathless. After a moment of them breathing, Calum laid his head on Ashton's lap and his legs on the log and sighed in content, closing his eyes and letting the sun and Ashton's prescience warm his face.

"You're so beautiful, you know that?" Ashton said, staring down at his boyfriend.

"'M not, but thank you Ashy," Calum said. Ashton shook his head even though Calum couldn't see him due to the fact that his were closed.

"No love, you are beautiful. You're art, Calum," Ashton complimented. Calum felt the heat rise to his cheeks and thanked him, never letting his smile fall after that because it was the most wonderful compliment Calum had ever received in his life.

"Wanna hear a joke?" Calum asked.

"Oh no. No offense Cal, but your jokes are some of the worst I've ever heard in my life," Ashton said. Calum scoffed and opened his eyes, glaring playfully at Ashton.

"No no, this one is great, I promise," Calum said, his head still laid in Ashton's lap and legs still sprawled out on the log, but his eyes were open. "Okay okay, what does the slice of chedder say to the pepperoni when asked what religion it believes in?"

"What does it say?" Ashton sighed, already knowing the answer.

"It says, "I believe in Cheese-us"!" Calum giggled. Ashton rolled his eyes and gave him a pity laugh.

"That was clever," Ashton smiles, caressing his fingers through Calum's black hair, "very clever."

"I know! You thought it'd be bad! Ha! Proved you wrong, didn't I?" Calum grinned pridefully.

"Oh yeah, you're like, the master of jokes now," Ashton said sarcastically.

"I can't believe you just figured that out," Calum said.

"I'm dating the master of jokes, wow, am I special or what?" Ashton said. Calum grinned and nodded, leaning up and pecking Ashton on the lips.

"Don't you ever forget it, babe."

After about twenty more minutes of talking and laughing, the boys decided to go back to Calum's house and watch a movie, and after they did that, it already was 10:00 at night, so they talked and cuddled and fell asleep in each other's arms, just the way they liked it.

It was Sunday afternoon and Ashton had just spent the night at Calum's house, yet he got no sleep. He couldn't stop thinking about what he found the afternoon before, the blades and drugs and knife.

He knew Calum cut himself but never realized it was that bad.

"Ash? Why are you awake?" Calum asked, sitting up in the bed and rubbing his drowsy eyes. Ashton smiled at the adorable sight and ruffled Calum's messy hair.

"Its 12:30 in the afternoon, babe," Ashton chuckled. Calum giggled and stretched his arms out, yawning sleepily and hopping out of the bed, the tiredness already wearing off.
