We had lunch outside. It was something our principal did a few times a month. He seemed to think we would be less miserable if he gives us more "freedom." Our school had enough of that shit. Just the month before some kid got expelled for jumping someone in the bathroom. Gotta love that place.

I was walking to meet up with Carl when someone tripped me. I looked to see 5 girls sitting on the floor. I knew who they were, they were Dominque's friends.

( fun fact, my mom was gon name me dominque)

I stood up and turned to the bitches testing me.

"Can I fucking help you?" I asked the girls beneath me.

"I don't know what you're talking about," one of the girls said standing up to face me.

I got up in her face.

"If you have something to say, say it to my face bitch," I said clenching my fists.

I was never the person to fight something but I was sick of everything treating me like shit.

"What you gon do about it," she said poking her chest out.

"I'm gon do something that's for sure," I said.

A crowd started to form. Her friends stood up and clenched their fists ready to fight me.

"Domi is gonna want her man back," one of the girls behind her said.

I scoffed.

We both grew silent but then I felt someone grab my arm.

I turned to see Carl pulling me back.

The girls waved bye to me and I flipped them off.

"What the fuck?" I said pulling my arm away from him.

"You can't fight them Hadley," he said litting his cigarette.

"Fuck off," I said and stormed off.
