Emina was in the middle of purchasing tickets for a flight to California when suddenly a knock on the door interrupted her.
She thought maybe it was a sign, having been going back and forth with the thought the entire time.
Maybe this was the concierge telling her she needed to leave and that was telling her to book the flight already.
Because she really did want to meet Grant. It was just the nerves stopping her but she knew she had to look past it if she wanted to finally meet her friend.
Ready to tell the concierge to back off, Emina opened the door but seeing who actually was behind the door, she froze.
"Adam?"
"Surprise!" He smiled, leaning in to kiss her softly before walking past her and into the room.
Emina was surprised to say the least, slowly closing the door and turning to face Adam who placed his bag on her bed, reaching in momentarily before pulling something out, walking towards her.
"And surprise part two." Adam's smile widened, holding the paper out to her which she hesitantly took.
Chuckling nervously, she opened it, shocked when she saw what it actually was.
"T-two tickets to Paris."
"Yup." Adam smiled proudly, "And that's not the only place. I figured we could even maybe travel around, have a little time to ourselves before you have to go home."
Emina slowly nodded now, "Wh-what's the special occasion?"
"Special occasion?" Adam chuckled, pulling her close, "There has to be a special occasion for wanting to take my favorite girl to her favorite city in the world?"
"I- no. This is very romantic and thoughtful but-"
"No buts." Adam cut her off, leaning his forehead against her, "You did so good on tour and it's been a while since it's been only us and- we can definitely use this small vacation Emmy. Please."
Emina was at loss for words as she looked into his eyes, finding herself getting lost in them, so close to agreeing when suddenly a ding came from her laptop.
Peering over, she frowned when she realized the timer on the tickets she had been looking at had finished.
And that's when she remembered: Grant.
"I have to um- use the bathroom! Be right back."
Pecking his lips quickly, she grabbed her cell from the bed, making her way to the bathroom where she closed the door behind her, sitting on the sink as she opened her and Grant's conversation.

em no way i made plans with you and i'm sticking to them i just have to make sure adam doesn't get too mad so i may be a little late

grant yeah he wants to surprise and treat you you should go with him he is your boyfriend

grant we can always meet another time we've got all the time in the em :)
