"I really don't want to do this." Emina spoke nervously as they approached the big house.

"Why not? They can't be that bad."

"You have no idea." Emina mumbled, waiting anxiously for the door to open which eventually it did, her parent standing there looking as intimidating as ever.

"Emina! Darling!" her mother greeted, as she greeted everyone else, giving her daughter kisses on the cheek, her father nodding at her before both their attentions were brought to Grant who stood there nervously.

"Mum, dad. This is my boyfriend Grant."

Emina watched as smiles appeared on both of their faces, greeting the stranger who immediately handed them the presents he bought last minute for the couple.

As they walked into the house, her parents excusing themselves to get Grant something to drink, Emina scoffed, "They're treating you better than me."

"I'm sure that's not true." Grant mumbled as the couple walked into the living room, Agnes lifting up a champagne glass to them.

"Never thought I'd see the day that Emina walked into this house again willingly."

Rolling her eyes, Emina took the glass out of her sister's hands, "I need a drink."

Grant watched wide eyed as she chugged the whole thing down, slamming it down on the table with a sigh.

"Okay this can't be that bad."

Emina scoffed, "You have no idea."

Agnes chuckled, shaking her head, "I can't believe you really agreed to this."

"I didn't!" Emina complained, "Mr. Barry Allen here did before I could tell him no!"

"I- you realize I'm not really Barry Allen right?"

"Yeah? Well you act like him. Barry Allen being the good guy wanting to give everyone a chance and thinking there's good in everyone when really some people just aren't worth saving. Some people were spawned by Satan themselves and-"

"Emina." she heard a stern voice, immediately stiffening up by instinct as she turned to see her father standing there.

He came over, handing the two glasses similiar to Agnes'.

"Dinner will be ready soon. Try not to drink too much."

"Couldn't stop me even if you tried." she mumbled, her father leaving the three as she immediately took the chance to drink it all, grabbing Grant's glass next.

Agnes chuckled as she stood up, "I'll go get us more Grant."

He slowly nodded, taking in Emina's appearance who looked so nervous. It was then he finally realized how badly she did not want to be there.

"Em." Grant mumbled, reaching over to rub her shoulders, "If this is really bothering you we can leave. I'm sorry I thought I was doing the right thing- I just wanted to make a good impression."

This time Emina saw the look on his face, sighing as she shook her head, "I'll be fine. Just need a few more drinks in me. You go focus on making a good impression."

Grant was hesitant now, "You sure?"

Emina was quick to nod, just as Agnes came over with two glasses.

Emina took one before she could protest but handed it to Grant, already pushing him towards her parents, "Go."

Grant slowly nodded, leaving the two again as they watched him greet their parents.

"You really love him huh?"

"You have no idea."

"Well then let's just hope mum and dad don't scare him away."

Glaring at her sister, Emina snatched the glass away from her while making sure she sat close enough to hear Grant and her parents.

Everything seemed to be running smoothly until she heard her mother's famous words.

"And then she decided to go off and persue music which we didn't think was the best-"

"Oh dear god!" Emina yelled before Agnes could even stop her.

Her father glared at her, "Emina. Mind yourself."

"I will not mind myself father. You two really had to bring my music career into this?"

Rhea looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "It is a part of your life, is it not?"

"I thought you'd always ignore that part of my life being it was the wrong choice!"

"We never said that-"

"You cut me off after I told you I wanted to pursue music!"

"Can you blame us?! You were going to throw your life away! The one we had prepared for you!"

"I didn't want that life! I want what I have now! Going to the Brits with my boyfriend, traveling the world and if you can't accept that-"

"We're sorry Emina."

Hearing that, Emina immediately coward down, obviously not expecting her parents to say that, "What?"

Rhea nodded, "We've been meaning to contact you for sometime. Especially after the whole Adam ordeal. We realized how wrong we were and have been wanting to fix it ever since."

"Uh huh." Emina mumbled, "And why now?"

"Well you do have a new man in your life. We didn't want to miss yet another big thing in your life. So we took the chance before he had to return back to America."

"And how did you- you've been feeding them intel?!" Emina asked her sister wide eyed who sighed.

"They wanted to get updates about you."

"I can't believe-"

"Darling." Rhea cut off, "Before you go ballistic how about you give us- this a chance. If not for us then for your boyfriend."

Emina looked over at Grant who immediately looked away which is all she needed to see to know this was what he wanted, even though he didn't want to hurt her.

So, she reluctantly agreed.

"Let's get this dinner going before I regret it."
