For their 1 year anniversary Grant was very persistent on taking Emina out on a special date.
But being they were both busy on their actual anniversary, they decided to postpone their date for a day they could actually spend more time together.
When that day finally came along, Emina was anxious.
She was never one to argue with spending more time with him so she agreed without hesitation, not knowing what exactly she was in store for.
She didn't know what he had planned.
But she did know from the year they've been together that Grant was a hopeless romantic so that could only mean one thing: he was going all out for this date.
She thought she'd seen the most of his extravagant dates already but little did she know that those were small dates compared to the one he had planned for this day.
Everything was going perfectly, luckily for Grant who now was almost relieved that they had reached the last thing on his agenda: their picnic.
He was almost relieved being he knew the picnic portion of the date meant he had to talk about something he was pretty nervous to bring up.
Emina almost immediately noticed how nervous he had gotten, feeling nervous herself as she reached over to hold his hand.
"You okay babe?"
Grant almost immediately nodded, pulling her hand up to kiss, "Yeah, yeah. I- you know I love you right?"
"Yes," Emina chuckled now pulling her hand away to caress his cheek, "What's going on?"
"I wanted to talk," Grant mumbled, Emina now returning her hands to his lap while he took a deep breath, "I know you wanted to talk things slow but I-"
"What?" Emina asked now even more worried as she watched Grant fiddle with his hands.
"Will you move in with me?" Grant finally blurt out, much to her surprise.
She was at loss for words, Grant already growing worried all over again, "I know this isn't exactly moving slow but-"
"It's been a year." Emina mumbled, a frown forming at Grant's face at the thought of him being rejected.
But Emina only took a small pause before she shrugged, biting her lip nervously, "That's long enough, right?"
Seeing the smile growing on her face, a smile grew on his as well, laughing as he pulled her into a hug.
"Oh my god I love you."
"And I love you." Emina smiled lovingly, caressing his cheek, "I can't wait to annoy the shit out of you when we move in together."
Chuckling, Grant shook his head, "Impossible. I love you too much for you to ever annoy me."
