Cassie's P.O.V

The Queen of Radon is my mother. I know there are a hundred other problems I should be worrying about but that one thing that shouldn't even be a problem, is the only thing going through my head.

How could he not tell me that she was my mother. I even indirectly asked him and he lied to me. I'm not mad that she is my mother (well I am mad that she is) but how could my own brother well brothers not tell me anything. They came in front of my door step and asked me to rescue their sister when really it's our sister we're on a quest to rescue our sister.

"The Queen of Radon is my mother," I said, "How could you not tell me that."

Rage and fury overwhelmed me. I felt like everything I was holding back just consumed me all at once. The voice was right, maybe the only way to get a hold of my power was to let rage and anger blind me.

"Look, I'm really sorry I didn't tell you anything," Drave said.

"Why didn't you tell me anything sooner. I'm not mad because I have a mother who really doesn't like me, an unknown father, a kidnapped sister and two idiots for brothers. I'm mad because you didn't tell me anything sooner. You kept me in the dark all this time."

"I'm sorry Lyris, I should have told you sooner. But I'm telling you, all of you, I was not trying to destroy the universe," Drave said.

Yeah right, not trying to destroy the universe. Now that I think about it, what purpose does he have to destroy the universe.

Maybe I am over thinking all of this or something but he really doesn't have a purpose to destroy the universe since he's living in it.

"Look Drave, I don't trust you anymore but we need to rescue your, well our sister. But the artifact, do you really need it?"

"The power of the artifact is great. But I'm not sure if the Vatlans would be able to see it coming you know because of the whole prophecy thing they have going on," he told me.

"So you really didn't intend on destroying the universe?" Druim asked.

Drave had a look that said 'yuh think.'

Well, that's a relief but Anathelia clearly was not thinking that,"That's too bad, I was hoping I get to throw you in a dungeon but I guess not," and she left the room.

Well at least Lyris gets my point and thankfully everyone else.

"Let's go rescue Athelia then," Lyris said.

I nodded,"I still need the artifact, it's a distraction."

Anathelia's father nodded and handed me his staff. How did I not notice he got a new staff.

"Good luck on your journey and please do come back alive," the King said.

Then we were back on the ship and on our way.

"So, that was interesting," Maddie said when we were on the ship.

Druim nodded his head looking between Lyris and I.

Matthew just sat there awkwardly probably preferring to reach the Vatlans right away.

Unfortunately, we eventually did. There was a sun and a moon glowing in the distance. Or was it two moons, I couldn't tell.

There were high mountains and two Vatlans standing guard. I guess they didn't expect anyone in their right mind to be attacking them.

But I guess we aren't fully right.

We landed the ship in front of the guards, I know not the smartest idea but an idea still.

"What's the plan?" Druim asked,"Because we landed in front of two guards who seem to really want to call for reinforcements."

"Well the plan is to use this," I said holding the staff in my hand.

"How exactly does it work?" Matthew asks. Sometimes I forget he's even here.

"Well I guess we are about to find out," I said.

"Seriously, all of that to get that staff and you're telling me you are just going to guess how to use it."

I shrugged,"I said let's get it not let's know how to use it. I mean it doesn't exactly come with a users manual.

We got of the ship and got ready to meet what hopefully was not the end.

The end of everything as we know it.
