*Fifteen Years Ago-Radon*
Drave's P.O.V
I charged into battle with Athelia by my side.
We slashed and hacked the Vatlans to bits and pieces. I was already exhausted emotionally, mentally and physically. Okay maybe that was exaggerating a little bit but you get the general idea.
The Vatlan I was fighting said something that angered me immediately,"You cannot win this war, not now, not ever."
He was going to say something else but I stabbed him.
Athelia was right next to me fighting as well.
"Drave," Athelia said, "Do you think he's right? Do you think we're gonna lose this war?"
"Athelia, how can you even think like that."
"Drave, be real here the chances aren't that great for us. Lyris is gone to Earth, Druim is two and refuses to leave, then there's us here fighting. Then don't forget mom, this probably sounds really stupid but I think that she and dad had some kind of plan to start this war and throw all four of us in the middle of it but she didn't cater for me to decide to send Lyris to another planet and..." I cut her off.
"Did you just say she didn't cater for YOU to send Lyris off to another planet because that's not possible because that was mom's idea to do that," I told her and didn't realize I stopped in the middle of the battlefield.
"Is that what she told you?" Athelia asked raising an eyebrow while she came to a stop also.
"What do you mean by that's what she told you, I mean me," I said just getting more and more confused by every word Athelia said.
"Whatever, we have a battle to get back to and forget I said anything," she told me and walked away clearly annoyed.
I was still confused by everything she just said but I didn't have time to ponder on it. We were clearly outnumbered and I couldn't keep on fighting any longer.
A Vatlan sneaked up behind me and I realized that too late, he stabbed me in the leg.
"If it isn't the young prince," the Vatlan said coldly, he was pale with dark hair and deep brown eyes, he looked like he was about forty.
Man, I can't believe I let a forty year old guy stab me, I was like fifteen and he was like forty, sometimes I just hate myself.
"Ugh," I groaned.
I just realized how excruciating the pain in my leg was.
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't end your useless little life right now," the Vatlan said.
"Give me one reason why you won't kill me right away?" I asked him.
He chuckled. "That is an excellent point young prince," he said.
Wow, I never realized how painful a stab in the leg can be. All the time when I was stabbing people in the leg or in the hand I never though it hurt so much, but dang it hurts, like a lot.
"Well, might as well just stab me now and get it over with," I told him and I closed my eyes just waiting to be stabbed. I mean there is a chance I'll live right. Right?
He lifted his sword and right before he shoved it down my gut, I opened my eyes a little and I was surprised to see a look of shock appear on his face.
He then fell on the ground and I saw Athelia there with her hand outstretched waiting impatiently for me to take it.
I took her hand and she pulled me up and pain instantly engulfed my leg.
