I sit by our tree and read my manga. I've read the same the page for an hour now. I can't comprehend what I'm reading at all.

I can only think of her.

"Mikan."

Where are you?

That other girl... Rin Kawasaki. She's not you is she?

I'm confused, sitting here... looking at the pictures.

The girl, the transfer, walks past me. I stare at her and compare her to Mikan. Same height. Same chest.

That's about it.

I get up and run to her room again. I knock her door, even though she isn't there. "Coming in." I say even though she's no longer in there.

I look around and find all of her stuff here. When I look through her drawers I find that she has taken her clothes. All of them.

She has taken only her clothes and left everything.

My hands run on the top of her dresser and feel a bump. A hidden hole. I open it slowly and find a glowing light. I peek through and find...

My Alice stones. All of them.

I lean down and rest my head against the dresser.

Where are you, Mikan?

"Hyuuga?" I hear behind me. I get up quickly and brush my pants.

"Hn?" It's Yuzuru.

"What are you doing here?"

"I just thought I could find a clue around here somewhere..." I mumble, picking up some of her stuff. Letters, jewelry, stuffed animals, and candy.

I look at the letters.

Nothing.

"Did you find anything?"

I look down at the ground and then around. The trashcan is full. "Nothing so far." I pick it up and find an opened envelope.

TO MIKAN

"What is this?" I turn it around and my eyes go wide.

FROM JICCHAN

I drop the letter and back up, falling back on my hands.

"What is it? A spider?" Yuzuru chuckles and picks it up. "Granpa?"

"He... disappeared." I mutter. "Check the date!" I yell, grabbing it away from him.

"What?"

"The date, the date..." I look around the envelope and then back into the trashcan. I look everywhere. Where is the letter? What did he send?

"Is this it?" Yuzuru says, holding up a small piece of paper. In his other hand he has a pillow. "It was under the pillow." He hands it to me and my hands shake as I look at it.

DEAR MIKAN.

IF YOU'RE WONDERING WHERE I AM... I'M SOMEWHERE SAFE. DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME. TAKE CARE AND SEND MY REGARDS TO YOUR FRIENDS. WHEN YOU DISAPPEARED, THEY CAME TO ME TO FIND YOU. FRIENDS ARE HARD TO COME BY SO TAKE CARE OF THEM JUST AS THEY HAVE TAKEN CARE OF YOU. IF YOU DON'T SEE ME, I DON'T WANT YOU TO WORRY... JUST KNOW THAT I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. TAKE CARE AND LIVE A LONG LIFE.
