The air quickens and then slows down. The two of them pop from the last destination to headquarters.

For a couple of seconds, Mikan forgets that she was once with Natsume. As soon as she comes too, everything is remembered.

The reunited couple, Yuu the traitor, and the cruel fate of it all.

"Let go of me!!!" She struggles to get out of Yuu's grip but she can feel her energy draining by the second. "I'll do what you want. Please... don't hurt him!!! Yuu... he's your friend!! Every last one of them is your friend!!"

"..." He drags her as she struggles, down to the basement of Joshua's office. "Too bad it couldn't last longer."

"What?" She screams through his arms. "What do you mean?!"

"I almost feel bad for what's about to happen next. You did break the deal and what's worse is that you didn't even steal all those Alices. It was the least you could do..."

"What are you... no, no, no..." She screams out, cursing, and crying. "Please!!! Promise me you won't hurt him!!!" She's afraid of what's to come. "PLEASE!!"

"Shut it." He stops and throws her over his back to stop her from pulling away.

For a moment, she takes a look at him. His eyes are glazed over then dilate as they focus on her.

"I tried to help you but you dug yourself a hole. Father won't forgive you this time."

"Yuu... he's controlling you isn't he?" She gets up from the ground and touches his cheeks. "I know you don't want to do any of this."

She wants to believe it's all wrong. Yuu, the traitor? He was the one who brought her to the class. The one who befriended her even when she was a brat who followed her best friend. He cried with her, suffered with her, fought alongside her.

They were good friends.

So what went wrong?

"Yuu? I don't get it. Where did you go? Why are you doing this?"

He leans in and then headbutts her. "You know why."

"OUCH!" Again, he drags her down the stairs where she flails around like a fish struggling to breathe. "Yuu... how could you...?"

He doesn't answer her.

After a few minutes, he places the chains around her arms and legs. She frowns at him. "Please, I don't care about what happens to me but you have to make sure that Joshua doesn't kill Natsume or my friends. Please Yuu. Please..."

He takes one last look at her and smiles. "It's cute when you beg."

"Yuu..."

"No promises." He turns his back on her and she screams at him to turn around.

"Yuu!!! Yuu!!! No, no, no, no... please!!! This is my dying wish, please!!" She begs as the darkness closes in. The door slams shut and the remaining light leaves. "AHHHHHH!!" Mikan pulls and pushes away from the wall but nothing happens. "I DID WHAT YOU TOLD ME!!" The darkness is making her crazy, lonely, and most of all... hopeless. "TAKE MY ALICE!!! I DON'T CARE!!!"

Then after a good couple of minutes, she stops and cries silently.

"Sakura...?"

A weak voice calls out to her but she doesn't know who it belongs to.
