Hey Readers... (sweat drop) I kinda neglected my stories. For that I apologize!!! Here's a short chapter but I'll make the next chapter better and I'll try to update it in a short while :D If you want to read something more, then check out my new story On The Page Of Yesterday which is a Sword Art Online Fanfiction. It was requested by a reader so yeah:) I'm going to focus on writing that. Also... we're almost done with this story. I don't think I'm going to write a third story because I feel that there isn't anything left to write about. Once again, I'm sorry about never updating consistently and only updating short and trash chapters. :'( I've had writers block. But I love reading your comments and reactions to my stories. Thank you for sticking with me until the end. Love you guys XOXOXOXO

Enjoy:

"If you don't hold any regret in your choice that means you must have made the right decision."

-Yuzan Yoshida(My Little Monster)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Mikan confessed her true feelings, Natsume had frantically responded, "Three more days."
And she nodded, "I'll wait."
What else could she say but that? He's waited way longer than that just for her but she couldn't wait a second longer.
I have to see him.
"I love you." She says so she doesn't say anything she'd regret; regret anything... anything else.
"Me too." Natsume's voice sounds so fragile in that moment that it begs her to ask more but she leaves it at that. She trembles.
"I'll see you... then."
"Mikan-"
"Yes?"
She hears him cough and speak softer on the side.
"No nevermind. I'll see you-" Aoi interrupts him, "BYE MIKAN!!! Take care!!"
She widens her eyes in surprise, then chuckles, "I love you guys, bye."
Her finger hovers over the 'End Call' button but it doesn't move down. Its not enough to convince her that everythings fine.
"Mikan?" Yukihara, her uncle, calls her and motions for his phone, "Are you done?"
By now the call has ended but her hand won't move.
"Mikan?"
Mikan holds her arms and she sighs, "It's just hard to believe. Everything is coming together and falling apart at the same moment."
He pats her head and pulls her along carefully. She's lost weight since he's left and is now as light as a feather.
"It's time."
They make their way down to the assembly hall were they hold their dances and ceremonies. An audience of teachers and the student council sit around a table. Yukihara and Mikan stand to the side.
"Mitsuru, Takumi, Kaori, and Hisana."
They stand up and say in unison, "Present". By now, their skin has turned lighter, almost transparent-a side affect from coming to the past.
Mikan is surprised by their appearance so she starts to sob. "It's too soon for this."
"Mom." Mitsuru and Hisana run to her and wrap their arms around each other in a group hug. "It's okay."
"It's not okay! How is this fine?"
"We knew it would be like this." Hisana wails, "Please don't cry, we wanted you to live!"
"But now what? Do you think it was worth your lives?" Mikan yells at all of them. "And you two-!" She points at Kaori and Takumi. "How can I make this up to Hotaru and Ruka? My life is not worth four lives!!!"
Hotaru and Ruka don't say a thing in response. They would have done the same to protect the people they love. But everyone else is too shocked to react at the moment.
"Is there anything- Anything at all that we can do...?" Mikan begs to her uncle but he shakes his head.
"Their technology is far more advanced than ours yet they don't have anything that can help prevent this from happening so there's nothing we can do. My only suggestion is that they go back to their timeline. It's a miracle they were able to last this long."
Mikan looks at her kids-her heart breaking into pieces, "I've only met you for a few months and yet its hard for me to do this but you have to go back."
Mitsuru bites his lips, holding back from shaking harder while Hisana holds onto Mikan's skirt. "I don't want to be in a world without you in it." He says through clenched teeth.
Instead of arguing anymore, Mikan gently touches his cheek. "You're not living in a world without me anymore remember?"
His lips quiver as he hugs her. "How can I face him without you there?" Mitsuru cries in her shirt like a child.
Its cold in the room, like its raining. But its funny because its sunny outside and not a cloud can be seen.
"And Dad?" Hisana mumbles through her wet lips. "Where is Daddy?"
"He's coming." Mikan forces herself to say, "I couldn't bring myself to tell him this. He has to see it for himself. I'm tired of lying."
They stay in each others arms even when the sun sets.
Mikan remembers when she forgot all of her precious memories of her friends. How she asked her Jicchan about that missing part of her life. He never told her much because he didn't want to get her in trouble since everyone was looking for her back then. Every time it snowed, though, she felt this overwhelming sense of sadness which overcame her feelings of happiness for the snowflakes. Nostalgia washed over and left her curious.
"Even if I'm not there in form, I'm still with you Mitsuru." He shakes his head; refusing to listen more he clenches his teeth. "Hey." She holds his hand, "Hey?"
He finally looks up and nods. She leans in and kisses his forehead, "We still have time together don't we?"
Instead of crying, they stop the meeting and head out to Central Town. Next to Central Town is an amusement park so Mikan takes Mitsuru and Hisana on many rides. She holds them close as much as she can.
Who knows how much time they have left but all they can do is spend the time they have until Natsume comes. Then they must leave.
