Author POV
Jungkook was seated on one of the couches, fingers tightly wrapped around his phone while he was staring at the sight in front of him. Cloe was comfortably pressed against Tehyung on the couch to the extent that the girl closed her eyes in order to fully relax.
Jungkook couldn't help staring at the girl, something just seemed utterly off about the whole situation.
Of course, he was glad that the latter didn't end up as a puddle on the ground in front of their apartment complex today. He rather decided to see the fact that she was still breathing as a chance to promise to himself to do better. The thought alone of how Yoongi would react hearing that his best friend almost fell out of a window was enough to make Jungkook shake. And the fact that he himself was assigned to look after the girl didn't make the whole thing any better for him.
So he continued staring at the girl, looking for the source of his uneasy feeling. He tried recalling today. Repainting the picture of Cloe's appearance a small but important detail rose up in Jungkook's mind.
He tried his best to get a clear view of the girl's face but Taehyung made it difficult for him to do so.
With, or without confirmation, Jungkook was certain. She must have lied. He doesn't remember Cloe wearing any earring today, nor saw he some right now on her.
His gaze on the girl only intensified since he couldn't believe that someone could lie to this extent. In a short second Cloe picked up his gaze, locking eyes for a mere moment, feeling the tension that radiated from the boy and quickly looked away.
Such a liar.

"Jungkook-ah why does it take you so long to grab one damn milk bag huh?"
Namjoon yelled from the other side of the kitchen while Jungkook stood absently in front of the opened fridge.
What happened then?
When Jungkook returned to the table with the requested milk he was met greeted with silence. Neither Hoseok trying to be a living sunshine nor Jin's delicious food could fill the hole that their missing friend left behind. No one was speaking up but still, everyone knew what the other was thinking.
"Jinie thank you for the dinner, it was delicious."
Cloe was the first one to break the enduring silence after a while.
"But it's already dark and I really need to hurry to get home now."
She was about to get up from the table when Namjoon rose his voice.
"What are you saying? Do you think after all that happened we'll let you go through Seoul all alone at night? You're staying over for the night."
It sounded rather like a fact than an offer.
"I'm really thankful guys but there's really no need to-"
"Where should she sleep?"
Ignoring her protest the boys continued planning her stay.
"She'll sleep in Yoongi's room."
Jin's suggestion caused the mates to look at each other.
"That-That's really not necessary."
The girl's voice broke a little at the end, not that the others seemed to notice.
"Do you think that's a good idea?"
