Cloe's POV

"Could you please turn off that damn music and at least try to look like you enjoy this?"

A familiar elbow met my ribs, shooting an all familiar pain through my torso.

"Fine."

Pulling out my earphones, I looked around the camping site we were going to stay at. Everything seemed pretty average, a little dusty, worn out but classy. A gloomy forest not too far away, everything to fulfill the cliches.

The rambling of my teacher about the schedule was forced to the back of my mind when the fireplace nearby caught my attention. The sight reminded me of how much Yoongi would have loved this, warming up at the fire, telling his stories and falling asleep on my shoulder.

"Ms. Wang?"

My head shot up to see my group along with the teacher a few meters in front of me, I must have spaced out.

"Would you mind following the group?"

With hasty steps, I jogged up to my group with my head down in embarrassment.

"Must plan her next murder."

Although the teacher continued his rambling, I noticed my classmates' comments and judging looks.

"Where is your mind?"

Ley's voice pulled me out of my trance, saving me from drowning in my suffocating thoughts.

"Not here."

Without looking at my friend, I released a sigh and kept trailing behind our group.

"Why did I even come along?"

Before I could follow the group, I felt myself yanked back, facing a glaring Ley.

"Look, you need to stop being so down. Just keep your ass next to mine, okay? I promise it's gonna be fun!"

Chuckling bitterly, I retrieved my arm from her, gesturing around us.

"Ley, look around. How am I supposed to survive here?"

Frustration was dripping from my voice as I pointed at the several glaring faces around me.

"Ignore them! Let's pin our tent up!"

Once the teacher dismissed us, Ley excitedly yanked me towards the tents.

"Us pinning a tent up. We're gonna sleep on the ground."

-

"Thank you, Kris."

Ley batted her long eyelashes at the guy who pinned our tent up since both of us were too dumb to do so.

"Everything for you."

I had difficulties to control my gagging when the male winked at my best friend before walking off as if he just managed to do something impossible.

"He's an arrogant ass."

Ley sighed, still waving cutely at the guy until he was out of sight.

"I know but he was the only one I could to convince to help us since your lovely reputation."

My mouth gaped at this before I picked up a cone to throw it at Ley.

"It's not my fault!"

"You did not just throw a cone at me, I'm gonna-"

"Students, gather please!"

With a wide smile, I jogged to where everyone gathered, escaping my scoffing best friend.
