Author POV
Jake's eyes almost fell closed when something moved in the distance. Opening his eyes wide, he saw a person leaving Cloe's house in the middle of the night. The action Jake had been waiting for all this time just added questions to his long list.
A few hours ahead when Jake was packing his stuff for the next school day, he was worriedly glancing out of his window every five seconds.
He'd seen Cloe leave the house today in the morning but she still hasn't returned. The fact that the girl had barely baggage with her in the morning terminated the assumption of her sleeping at a friend's house which got the male even more worried.
Hours passed as the red haired male lied on his bed, quite depressed but the feeling of his hands touching some of the belongings he'd sneakily got out of Cloe's house without her noticing it, calmed him down a little. Sadly he didn't succeed with getting something with her smell on it like he always wished.
The sun had already sat when Jake approached his phone, located at the window bench since he'd been sitting there for long to look for his old childhood friend to return.
But the moment he grabbed the wanted object he noticed a figure running down the dark street of his neighborhood.
Hoping it'd be Cloe, he approached the window, almost face pressing against the cold glass.
And it was the Cloe but to his dismay she wasn't alone. Or conscious.
The light of the street lamps now proved the red haired male right as he clearly saw a boy quickly walking, almost running, with the unconscious girl Jake had longed all day long to see again.
His heart almost stopped at the sight. Not sure because of the girl's helpless form or the unknown male having a tight grip around her body.
Jake watched the male approaching the house from across and how he laid Cloe's body down onto the porch. In the light of the porch he could finally recognize the unknown male and to his dislike he wasn't that unknown as he assumed.
It was the same boy who appeared yesterday in front of the girl's door and interrupted his time with his old beloved friend.
Coming back to reality from his flashback the red haired male was overwhelmed by a thousand of voices, each naming a reason why Cloe was unconscious and what could have happened to her.
Not wasting a second more Jake rushed downstairs, determined to do a better job than the boy with Cloe who seemed unable to do anything.
Reaching the first floor, he decided to take a last look out of the kitchen window to make sure he hadn't missed anything while getting down.
But the current sight made him even more tensed up. In front of his eyes the familiar boy was roaming his hands all over the girl's weak body.
Are you fucking serious?! She can't even defend herself!
The red haired male had never felt this much anger rising up in him as he watched the brown haired boy taking advantage of one of the most important people in his life.
Heck the most important person and the only one who mattered.
With hands in fists and already planning any possible way to murder the said boy without getting caught, Jake hurried towards his main door, opening it with too much strength, ready to fight everyone in this world for Cloe when he noticed she wasn't lying on the bench anymore.
Shifting his eyes to the other's house entrance he saw that the other boy had picked his friend up again and was now entering Cloe's house.
Jake couldn't even make his first steps into the direction of the girl as he saw the door shut closed.
