Author POV

Yoongi arrived back in front of the dorm. Sweating, freezing he stood in the lift, watching himself in the mirror with bright red cheeks.

His hair was messy from the running, goosebumps all over his skin as he tried to catch his breath. He looked fucked up but even worse, he felt fucked up.

As the elevator reached its destination, Yoongi carelessly opened the dorm's door with his keys, already hearing how the other boys were flipping out of bed.

„Did you find her?"

Seokjin was the first one to arrive and asked the tired male, more boys following soon.

„Yes."

The blond haired guy gave a short answer as he lazily slipped off his shoes and jacket.

„Where is she? Is she at home? Is she alright?"

„She's home."

Yoongi could slowly feel himself running out of patience and decided to disappear into his room before he would snap at anyone.

„Thank god. Why didn't she answer you though?"

Sadly Yoongi didn't manage to get to his room before Jimin could ask a question that made his anger raise.

„She was busy."

The male answered through gritted teeth. However his dorm mates didn't seem to be finished with him.

„Busy? At almost 2am? What would she be doing at such a time?"

Namjoon's question was the last drop to trigger Yoongi to raise his voice a bit.

„She was talking with a guy outside. Any questions left? I'm going to bed."

Yoongi left the scene, slamming the door shut behind his back and dropped onto his bed.

„Oh dear bed, I love you. Would you stay with me forever?"

The male would mumble to himself before falling asleep.

On the other side the youngest of the group almost missed out everything of the previous conversation. He'd been told that their female friend was missing and of course Jungkook would hope that everything turned out well but the last forty minutes his mind was overtaken by something completely different.

It started with one question Jungkook asked himself immediately after he found out about his hyungs' worry.

Why was she alone?

Sure he remembered Cloe declining Yoongi's offer to accompany her but what about her parents? Jungkook knew that Ley has been picked up by her brother since her parents didn't want her to get home all on her own in the darkness.

It was something normal for parents to do right? So why didn't Cloe's parents protect her in any way? That's what parents are for, right?

At least that was what Jungkook liked to think, he could only assume.

He had no memories to prove that theory nor had he parents by his side to ask them.

And that's how his mind quickly drifted to thoughts to which he promised himself multiple times before never to return to.

But he couldn't help it.

He couldn't help remembering his past, childhood if you can call it that.

Just in the split of a second he felt his heart sink at the memories flooding his mind and he hated it.

He hated the fact that he still remembered, after all those years.

He was angry, he was angry at his old parents.

The question of where they are right now invaded his mind. Like always.

At a shitty beach in Brazil? In a luxus apartment in the shitty French mountains?
[A/n: no offense to Brazil or France, two countries I'd like to visit :')]

I don't even care, they didn't show me any love before they left either.

People say that kids are becoming like their parents, if they want to or not.

Jungkook was always hoping that these sayings weren't true.

Could he ever be so cold hearted?

Scamming a few people was one of a bad thing.

But abandoning your own 14 year old child the minute plans don't turn out how they should be and leaving the country was something that Jungkook coul never understand.

He always thought of it as a story, a thriller, not his sad reality.

He's got a heart, he could never do such a thing, he was sure of that. Even though the time in an orphanage made him lose a bit of his heart.

Now Bangtan is your home, family, your everything. Got that maknae?

And up to today Jungkook could shed a tear, remembering how incredible happy he was the day his beloved hyungs found him on the street after days of living on his own.

Bangtan is my family.

The brown haired boy murmured to himself, slowly sinking into bed.

That sentence could always calm him down.

Bangtan is my family.
