TWO YEARS LATER...

I walk carrying several papers to the room, oh god right, ugh I have to go all the other side of the department!

I rush even more as the papers flap in my arms and stray hair from my braid waver in all directions. Ah! There it is!

I immediately open the door and cautiously look inside. Yep, this is the room I'm assigned for today for the patient.

Okay, so who was it again? I check through the papers and skim read them. Ah yes, Ms Ranjith.

I place the papers down and open up the computer onto the required hospital database. So she should be coming about now.

Getting up, I walk to the door and peek out of the doorway seeing a woman with a cast on her left arm. Yep, looks like the Ms Ranjith I saw a few weeks ago.

"Ms Ranjith? Yes, please come on in."

"Yes, thank you. Doctor Joseph."

I smile as I hear her, Doctor Joseph. Yeah, most people in the hospital call me this but still it makes me happy whenever I hear it. I achieved my dream..

Obviously it wasn't easy to do so though, I sort of have to thank my parents for sort of forcing me and causing me a lot of pain in order for me to be here.

The patient sits down and so do I. I smile gently at her and she reflects it back.

"So how are you doing with your arm?"

"Yes, it's doing well and the cast is helping greatly doctor."

"Okay, that's good. The bone should heal within a few months, we just have make sure we regularly change it so it doesn't become inflamed or infected."

She nods listening intently and I continue to talk to her about ways to help care for her arm and also type up the necessary data on the computer.

"There is one problem through doctor."

My face portrays a slightly worried expression and I nod for her to continue.

"Well, it has been getting very much itchy under the cast and around the opening, I know the doctor told me not to itch under or near the cast but now it's getting quite bad."

"I see..okay. Let me look at your arm and if it's serious we will ask you to buy something from the pharmacy downstairs okay?"

"Okay, thank you doctor."

I move closer to her and she puts out her arm gently and I take a close look at it examining it for any signs of infection. Seems, no infection or inflammation.

I look further near the opening of the cast and see a browny-red patch on her skin. Woah, what's that?

"Wait, hold on Ms, I just need to check something. Don't worry about it, I just need to confirm something."

Her face of worry doesn't change and I reassuringly smile at her. I get up and look on the shelf of folders and medical books. Hmm..ah here it is.

I flip through the pages, and stop when I get onto the necessary page. I sit back down reading through it carefully and rereading it.
