The Calm Before The Storm

"Emma will take the fire escape at noon with Aj" Claudia said as we looked over a map of our plans "That's when I'll come and get you out of your cell, I'll give you everything you need. Your belongings, clean clothes, and the bombs"

"Okay but what if you get caught?" I asked her.

"Then I'll try and fight my way out" Claudia replied "After I give you your shit we're going split up, I'll take the first and second floor, you get the third and fourth."

"Just us?" I asked unsure about this.

"Becky, Samantha, Juliet, and Rosalyn will keep look out on each floor" Claudia continued "They'll scream if someone's coming"

"Got it" I said "What about all the other outposts?"

"I was about to get to that" Claudia continued "After this place goes down in flames we're going to have to hide out for a while"

"Won't someone else just take over?" I asked.

"There's a slight chance" Claudia said "But once the compound is down, most groups are likely to go after the outposts"

"Okay" I said shaking my head.

"We do this tomorrow" Claudia said "As soon as the clock strikes two pm you light the first match, make a run for it after that. All the gasoline will catch on fire, it'll trigger the bombs to go off not long after. We meet up five miles from here, at a hardware store called Lowes."

It had only been a couple hours since Lily's death and I was already planning a mass homicide.

"What about Daryl?" I asked worriedly.

Claudia crumbled up all the plans and threw them into a fire in her trash bin.

"I've been in contact with a group called the Hilltop" Claudia said "A man named Paul is going to get Daryl out today"

"Wait what?" I asked confused "today? What would you have done if I'd said no?"

Claudia took a deep sigh as she poured water on the fire in her trash can.

"Don't take this personally" She said "But you just would've been collateral damage "

"Wow" I said a little upset. "What's the plan after we get to Lowes?"

"We wait and see how bad the damage is" Claudia said "Then we head to the hilltop"

I nodded and took a deep breath.

"Having second thoughts?" Claudia asked.

"Opposite actually" I said "I've never been happier to help murder so many people"

Claudia let out a very small chuckle.

"I need to get you back to your cell now" Claudia said.

I nodded and stood up from a stool on her room.

After I had agreed to help Claudia take down Negan and the Saviors she had brought me back to her room. She had been going over the plan.

I have to admit I was nervous, anything could go wrong at any time.

All I could do was hope for the best.

Once I got back to my cell I laid down on the floor and took a deep breath.

This time tomorrow I would be back in the world. No longer a prisoner. No longer anyone's bitch.

Hell, soon I would be reunited with everyone I cared about.

But there was a tiny part of me that was scared to be reunited with them.

After all this, mass murder, kidnapping a child, being involved with Negan and the Saviors for this long, would they still want me? Would they kick me to the curb?

I sighed. I tried to think of good thoughts, like how Daryl was probably out right now. Probably eating good food and surrounded by people he loves.

I had to focus on the positive. I needed too.

It was the only thing that was going to get me through tomorrow.

I rolled over to my side and attempted to get some sleep. I was going to need to be well rested for tomorrow.

I was going to make sure Negan died.
