I held Julie in my lap. We were sitting on my bed and her legs were wrapped around my waist. I held her tighter than I ever have before and she cried into my chest.

Kaylie was her sister. The last of her family. She told me that she at times didn't really like to refer to her as a sister because of what she had done. But she still loved her, I know that much. She has been through so much in her life, yet she's still her fun cute, bubbly self.

I can't even fathom the pain she's going through. I remember a time when Cameron got in a car accident with her friend. She was fine, barely had even any scratches. But that pushed me to the edge. It hurt so much thinking that I could've lost my sister just like that.

Julie on the other hand has lost her mother and father. And now her sister is dead. She has other family members but she said that they won't even give her the time of day. She also told me that she never had a father figure in her life and her mom was not only her mom but also her best friend.

Last Thanksgiving she was all by herself. She got herself the smallest turkey she could and a couple side dishes. While she cooked she watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, ate and then took benodryl so she could just get the holiday over with.

Her friend Alexandria always invites her over on holidays but she doesn't have enough money to leave.

How can someone so kind and so beautiful suffer so much? She deserves so much. I'm gonna do everything I can for her so that she feels like she has a family to go to. So that she never wants the holidays to end instead of going to bed early so they do.

I love her more than anything and I'm gonna make sure she knows that.

"I have nobody..." she choked out through tears. Her words broke my heart in half. I grabbed her face to look at me.

"Baby girl..." I wiped her tears away. "Don't ever say that again. Yes you do, you have me and I will always be here for you. You have Gray. And I assure you, when you meet my sister and parents they will fall in love with you. So don't ever say that..."

She nodded her head in my hands. Her crying slowed down.

"I have to go to Oregon to do some stuff for a week..." she looked down. "I don't think I can go on tour with you. The plane ticket and funeral costs are already gonna be too much..."

Tears began to flow down her cheeks again.

"You are my baby..." I stated. "I'm gonna pay for your plane ticket to get to Oregon and then I'm gonna pay for you to get to where we are at for the tour. I'm also gonna give you two hundred dollars to help you out with the expenses..."

She looked up at me with a smile plastered across her face, "Babe... I don't want you to pay for me..." Her expression dropped. "I mean it is my fault, I wasn't there for her..."

I lifted her face up again, "Don't ever say that. It was not your fault..."

I held her tight in my arms as she finished crying.

After an hour of just holding Julie in my arms, she fell asleep. I placed a kiss on her forehead and stripped her out of her uncomfortable clothes. I slipped one of my sweaters on her along with some comfy sweats. I pulled the covers over her and made my way out of the room.

"Hey bro." Gray said as I walked out.

"Hey. Thanks for taking care of her man." I stated sitting down on the couch next to Gray.

"Where is she?" Gray asked.

"Sleeping..." I informed him and he nodded his head changing the channel.
