"Yes", I reply "I think everything will be fine now"
As soon as those words escape my mouth I leapt from my seat and ran towards Mason. I practically jumped on him and hugged him with such force that if he hadn't caught a table for support we both would have fallen down and broken a bone or two, let me add.
Well him not me, I would have landed on top of him.
He laughed at my reaction. Oh that laugh. I haven't heard that laugh in two years. He wrapped his arms around me and lifted me from the ground and swings me around. I giggle as he puts me down.
But then I do something really weird that surprises me too. I slap him. Hard. On the face. Well yeah, I shouldn't have done that but he left us and he deserved that. As if reading my thoughts Mason rubs his cheek and chuckles.
"Well, no doubt I deserved that."
"That is for leaving us" I say while pointing my index finger at him and then I stood up on my top toes and placed a small kiss on his cheek.
"And that is for coming back"
"Oh how I've missed you Care" He says
"Come on now I Have some new friends lets introduce you to them."NEXT SCENE
"How do you know Mason again?" Kyle asks me, almost the hundredth time.
After my "reunion with Mason" I introduced him to Kyle and Theo. Theo seemed really pleased to meet him, while Kyle kept staring at him. Strange, no? All of sudden Nina decided to pipe in the conversation and suggested that we all go watch a movie together or something. So here I am, in my home, preparing popcorn while Kyle is slumped on the couch in the TV lounge. The rest haven't arrived yet. Probably because Nina was the one who had to buy the movies and Theo and Mason are stuck with her.
"We've been friends since kinder-garden. He left for New York two years ago and now he's back" I answer Kyle's question.
He snorts.
"Friends" He mutters under his breath.
I ignore him comment and grab the two popcorn bowls and place them on the table in the lounge. Kyle brings his hand forward to take some but I slap it away.
"Nah-uh . You don't get to eat those until they have arrived."
He groans at first but then gives me one of his signature smirks.
Oh God. How I wish I could wipe this stupid smirk off his face.
He grabs my hand, turns me around and pulls me towards himself. Now my back is pressed against his chest, I can easily smell his cologne (which is fine by me) and his breath is fanning my ears. He grabs some popcorn and eats them, and since we're so close I can hear him chew. Talk about awkward situations.
"You got your popcorn now let me go" I say.
"Okay" He releases me. "Now sit", he says.
"Uh, no. I, um, actually have to."
"Sit" he says again and this time I obey him.
"Let's talk about yesterday"
"Yesterday? What about yesterday?" I mutter.
You know that feeling when you're sitting on a rollercoaster and it's about to go down and you know there's no turning back now? That is exactly how feel right now. My heart is ready to leap out of my chest any minute now.
