The best is yet to come.

"Heeyy, there's my beautiful graduated girlfriend," Kyle says, as I walk over to him after our graduation ceremony is over, a big smile on my face. He tucks my hair behind my ear and kissed me.
"So," I begin, pulling away and playing with his collar, "What are your college plans?"
"Um, about that," he says, caressing my cheek with his thumb.
"What?"
"Why dont you go home, get ready and we'll talk about it over dinner tonight. I'll pick you up."
"Okay," I smile at him.

"I dont understand. Whats so important that he has to talk to me about it over dinner," I say, lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
"Maybe, this one would suit you," Nina says, turning around, holding a pink dress in her hands. "Nah," she says, throwing it away.
"Are you even listening to me?," I ask, sitting up straight.
"Yes, I am. And you need to stop worrying. Im sure what he will say to you isnt that big," she says, her eyes shifting from the dress in her hands to me, trying to see if it would look good on me.
"Oh my God," she says, throwing the dress in her hands to the side and picking one off the bed.
"This is going to look amazing on you."
"That is apparently in the 'No' pile," I point out.
"But you're wearing this anyways, now go get showered, you have to get ready," she shoves me away.
"Fine," I groan, "But you clean this mess you made."
"Okey dokey," she says, already on it.

"Just a little curl right there and voila! Youre done," Nina says, putting the curling wand aside.
I walk over to the mirror and straighten my dress. I like what I see. I'm wearing a blue cocktail dress with white heels. My hair are curled and I have a little makeup on, both done by Nina.
"Hey, you look nice," Nina reassures me.
"I dont even care today," I say, looking at her. "Im just dying to know what he's going to tell me over dinner."
"It is not going to be that bad, C," Nina replies, just as the bell rings downstairs.
"I hope so," I say and she gives me a comforting hug, telling me to go downstairs.
My heart pounds against me chest as I walk towards the front door, but as soon as I open it and see Kyle, all my worries drain away and I feel myself again.
"Hi," I say, smiling at him.
"Hey, you look beautiful," he says, placing a kiss on my forehead.
"You dont look bad yourself either," I say. I'm lying just be the way, he looks stunning as always. He's wearing a white button down with a black coat and pants.
"Ahem," Kyle clears his throat, bringing me out of my thoughts. I blush at being caught staring at him, trying to hide me cheeks, while he smirks and starts the car.
The ride to the restaurant is silent, but Kyle holds my hand all throughout it, sometimes caressing it with is thumb, other times kissing it. Now that is a good sign, no?
We enter into the restaurant and sit by the window. The waiter comes to take our orders and I ask Kyle to order for me too because he's been here before. He orders a cassoulet for both of us. As soon as the waiter pours our drinks and goes to bring our dinner, I look over to Kyle but he's already looking at me. He reaches over the table and takes both my hands in his. And I realize that no matter what happens, I have him and he's not going anywhere.
"So," he begins.
Apparently I was wrong. Kinda.
Kyle's P.O.V
Ciara watches the waiter as he pours our drinks in our glasses. She's watching him and I am watching her. Because she's the only one that matters, she's beautiful and she doesn't know. She's so pure and innocent, I cant even believe she's mine. She's been through so much, and I'm about to put her through more. I'm about to leave. She looks at me and I smile at her, taking her hands in mine.
"So," I begin, gathering strength and courage. Ciara squeezes my hand, encouraging me to go on.
"We were talking about college right? What are your plans?," I ask.
"Well, Ive always known what i would be, what I'll study, where I'd go to college, that kind of stuff you know?," she says and I nod.
"It was always my wish to go to college here, in town, or near town. Fellingdom's the one, for me. I dont want to leave town, its where I was born, where I live. Its my home. And all of you guys are here. Thats my plan," she finishes. "What about yours?'
"Im going to New York, for college," I say, although thats not true. Well partly true. But there's someone there, someone I love and I need to protect. I can see the shock on Ciara's face but she quickly covers it up with a smile instead.
"Thats great,"she says, "Im happy for you."
"We'll still be the same," I say. " We'll still be us. I love you."
"Ofcourse we will. I love you too," she replies and I kiss her hand, closing me eyes. This might as well be the last time I do that, for a long time.
