I care about you Damon. Which is why I have to let you go. -Elena gilbert

Ciara's P.O.V

"Guess what?" Nina came in, a huge grin plastered on her face.

"Theo asked you out?,"I replied.

"No, silly" She smiled shyly. "The doctor said you're free to get out of here."

"Well, that's really great news. It just made my day", I said sarcastically.

Nina narrowed her eyes at me and sat on the couch. "So now........." She continued.

"We should get dressed and get going", I cut her off assuming that's what she was going to say.

"Not before you tell me what happened between you and Kyle."

I sighed. Sooner or later I had to tell her. She was my best friend after all and so I told her everything.

"That bitch. So afraid to get her hands dirty, using other people to carry out her evil plans. Typical Regina George move. No wonder Chase follows her around like dog."

Nina clicked her tongue in grimace. I chuckled. All of a sudden, Nina's face turned dead serious as she was about to say something extremely important.

"Ciara, listen, about you and Kyle..."

"Just leave it. I don't want to talk about it"

"No. Stop this okay? Stop acting like you dont care, because you do. No matter how much you deny it, Kyle makes you smile even when it's the last thing you want to do. Can't you see? He cares about you. When he heard about the accident, it didn't take him even a minute to get down here. He stayed by your side, all day and night. He didn't sleep for days, just kept sitting by your side, holding you hand, wishing you'd wake up. And what do you so as soon as you gain consciousness? You freaking push him away. What you did was wrong. You better put some sense in that big fat ass brain of yours and go apologize."

I stared at Nina in shock. Where did all of that come from?

"I know", Nina said, as if reading my thoughts. "Even I don't know where all this is stored".

We both start laughing.

"But I'm damn serious", Nina stopped laughing

"Fine. I will. But I need some time. I can't do this right now. First, we need to get out of here", I said pointing at the hospital room.

"Hmm let's see what you'll wear. Unless you want to go meet Kyle dressed in a hospital gown."

I threw a pillow at her but she dodged it easily and went on searching for 'suitable clothes'.

"Where the hell did I put them?"

Nina was fishing in her bag for her car keys. We were trying to move our way between the large crowds of people towards the hospital doors. There had been a blast so the hospital was crammed to the top.

"Well you better find it before we get out of here or I'm gonna eat you alive", I threatened glaring back at her, while trying to push the lady infront of me aside.

"It's a mess in here", Nina replied.

"No kidding", I chuckled."What do you do anyway, bring your whole cosmetic box with you?"

She glared at me and I laughed.

I was messing around with my phone, debating whether or not to call Kyle when I suddenly bumped into someone and dropped my phone.

"Uh, Sorry", I said as I bent to pick my phone. "I wasn't looking where I was going. I...." my voice trailed as I realized who the stranger that I bumped into was.

Kyle, it was Kyle.

He was standing in front of me, his deep blue eyes staring right into mine, sending shivers down my spine.

For a second I thought I was going to black out. I blinked once. Twice. I was lost for words.

Two minutes ago, I wasn't even sure if I even wanted to see him and now he was standing in front of me. God why do I have to always get stuck in these kinds of situations

"H-h-hey", I shuttered pathetically. Pull yourself together, dumb woman, I mentally slapped myself.

Kyle opened his mouth to reply but was interrupted by Nina's chirpy voice, "Yay hey! I found the, oh, Hey Kyle, Hi Theo", she smiled.

"Hey" Theo said whilst Kyle just gave her a nod. There was a moment of silence and then Nina went "Oh, Theo, remember that new cafe you were telling me about. Now's the best time to go there", Nina grabbed Theo's arm and led him outside, winking at me.

"Could they be any more obvious?", Kyle chuckled.

I laughed nervously. I was alone with him, now was the time to apologize and set things right between us, I started to speak but he cut me off.

"It's okay, Ciara. We're good"

"No, I need to apologize. I'm so sorry for whatever I said and whatever I did and I know it hurt you, and I'm really sorry." I played with my thumb and kept my eyes on the ground.

"I did not get hurt, I told your already. It's fine."

"You don't understand. I feel bad. Really awful. And I'd be glad to know you forgive me"

He raised my chin with his hand, his thumb steady under my lower lip

" Sssh"

I looked at him, in his perfect blue eyes, deep enough for me to drown in.

"There is nothing to apologize for"

I bet my cheeks flushed red and to save me the embarrassment I pulled my gaze to face the ground. With a gentle tug on my chin he slid his hand to my cheek causing me to look back at him

"We're all good here, hm?"

My eyes directly land on his lips. They were so full and so pink. A rush of butterflies flew across my body. He looked at my lips. It was obvious that he was holding back, fighting when he bit his lip and tightened his jaw, his eyes on my lips. He brushed his thumb over my lip causing chills to run down my spine. Hesitantly he leaned in, tilting his head to a side. He pressed his lips against mine with one soft swift motion.

It was like thousands of butterflies just tickled my insides. That heavenly sensation only lasted a second before he pulled back, his eyes brighter than ever and his lips moist from the kiss. It was only a second before he grabbed me from my waist and pulled me against himself and kissed me like I've never been kissed before. All my sanity drained out of my body ad my arms betrayed me and wrapped themselves around his neck and I kissed him with the same passion and sense of longing.

We were standing in the hallway of a hospital but it seemed to bother none of us both, the world had stopped for us and the only thing that mattered at the moment was the desire and hunger we held for each other.
