The Enemy of my Enemy

Chapter 11

Last time on The Enemy of my Enemy: Ripple pushed his way through the smoke and saw Toxy and Pinkie being dragged out of the door. 

"Pinkie!!! Toxy!!!" Ripple shouted as he ran after them. Nyxx looked back with a smile before jumping from from the window with Pinkie on her shoulder. Her cape streamed behind her wildly as she jumped. Behind her was Lemon Bubbles. The other Alliance members followed close behind with Toxy. 

"After them!" Kai commanded. 

"I'm coming for you Pinkie... Toxy..." Ripple hissed.

Chaos ensued as their chase entered the crowded streets of the city. Nyxx and the other Alliance Members were pretty far ahead already. Other ponies shouted in anger and confusion as Ripple and the other Team members ran after them on hoof. 

"Get back here!" Ripple snarled. Kai took off into the skies and flew behind Avery. The Volasoph was rocketing through the cloudless skies like a deadly bullet with Kai struggling to keep up with her. Lemon Bubbles turned around and suddenly sparks of electricity crashed into the ground and raced towards them. The bolts of lightning enveloped Ripple, Allie, and Leo. Ripple crashed to the ground head first, twitching. Allie's wings jutted out and she let out a small whine of pain. Leo twitched wildly and he let out a gasp. 

"Why am I twitching?" he sobbed. Ripple struggled to get back up but his limbs and body burned like he'd just been struck by multiple lightning bolts. Lemon Bubbles backed up and shot off more electricity, but this time it was a shock wave. Kai and Avery slammed into the wave and plummeted to the ground like birds being shot from the sky. Ripple grabbed Allie and Leo and was about to use his magic to stop the wave, but it hit him dead on and Ripple's body shook violently as electricity coursed through him. Allie and Leo twitched as they were hit again. Smoke rose from their bodies as Lemon Bubbles hurried away with their hostages. 

"N-no!" Ripple hissed and he rolled to the ground. His vision was becoming blurry as he looked over at Kai and Avery who were now on the ground. Suddenly, an arrow-like thing shot past them and embedded itself into Nyxx. She stumbled around the corner and fell. Alexander and Lucien had finally shown up.

"Sorry! We got caught up!" Lucien called out as he skidded to a halt. He looked over the twitching ponies. Alexander raced ahead but stopped as a shining object hurled towards him. It plunged into his leg and Alex fell to the ground with a heavy thump. A knife was protruding from his leg now. Lucien ran over to him and tried to dislodge it to no avail. Another knife came flying out of nowhere and nearly hit Ripple. He rolled to the other side, but agony boiled through his nerves. He looked up and saw a very familiar pink pony. It was Fairy. Beside her was a  large brown pony with short, wispy brown hair. His green eyes glared down a menacing way. 

"Hello! Nice to see you again~!" Fairy hooted as she fluttered to the ground. The brown pony jumped from the low hanging roof and stood up once he was on the ground. 

"I don't think it's nice seeing you again," Lucien pointed out. He was still at Alex's side, trying to pull out the knife. Fairy stuck her tongue out and hissed at Lucien. 

"Anyway, we were sent here to stop you!!!" Fairy sneered and she opened her wings. In a billow of dirt, Fairy appeared at Ripple's side. Ripple recoiled and hissed. The pink pony circled him like a shark. 

"Soooo, what are you going to do, Ripple?" She questioned. 

"What do you mean?" Ripple growled with a defensive tone. 

"Well, what else could I mean! We took your girlfriend and your little friend, too! You're angry... sad.. and you want revenge. Am I wrong?" she cooed. Ripple kicked outwards and clipped her side. Fairy moved backwards and the anger showed in her eyes. 

"Screw off," Ripple spat. Kai and Avery were on their hooves now, though a bit unsteady. Allie and Leo stood behind Ripple, at the ready. 

"We brought you down already, Fairy!" Ripple stated. Fairy shrugged her shoulders. 

"Did you forget that I brought someone else? Meet Mason... he's a bit wild," Fairy laughed. Ripple turned his head and go knocked off his feet as a tree flew from the ground. Ripple fell to the ground and was quickly tangled up in several vines. Ripple thrashed furiously. Alex, Leo, and Lucien fell to the ground as several more vines wrapped around them like thorny snakes. Mason stood on the sidewalk with boredom in his eyes. Ripple turned his head and saw Allie dodging the vines as they tried to wrap around her. She slammed her hoof into the ground and suddenly, the vines withered and died. 

"W-woah! Wh-What the hell!" Allie shouted. Mason let out a tsk and tree bark shot across the road. Four trees surrounded Allie and she backed into one. The trees loomed over her like shadowy monsters. The sun seemed to fade away and Ripple kicked and thrashed. 

"Allie! Get out of there!" Ripple shouted, but she didn't seem to hear his words. Allie pressed herself against one of the trees, shaking her head violently. 

"Get out of my head!!" Allie howled and she crouched against the ground, holding her head tightly. Suddenly, a loud roar came from her and darkness whirled around her. Mason watched with confusion as the loud mocking voices of the trees were drowned out by the noise. The darkness shot outwards and the trees were turned to ash. The vines around Ripple loosened and Mason stared at Allie with critical eyes. 

"Hmmm.." Mason cooed softly. Allie fell to the ground, clutching her stomach. She started groaning in pain. Ripple stared at Allie with wide eyes. 

"What the hell..." Fairy said. Ripple grinned. 

"Right on, Allie!" Ripple hollered. He squirmed out of the vines and they slithered back towards Mason before surrounding him like guard dogs. Ripple stood up and turned his attention to Mason. Fairy appeared beside him with an annoyed look plastered on her face. 

"Be prepared to die!" Fairy howled.
