The Enemy of my Enemy

Chapter 14

It took a few minutes for Pinkie and Toxy, and the other captives, to find an exit. Pinkie opened her wings and her and Toxy bolted out, the other prisoners charging after them. The sun was bright and Pinkie shielded her eyes from the intense light. 

"Let's go find the others," Toxy suggested as the two flew away from the angry prisoners who were now clashing with the guards. Toxy landed on a roof and looked around. Pinkie pointed towards a street about 40 yards away. 

"I... uh, think that's where they are," Pinkie said as a bright explosion blasted the air. Toxy raced forward, Pinkie on her tail. They found Mason passed out. Alex, Lucien, and Leo were trying to fend of Fairy to no avail as it seemed. Toxy jumped off the building and tackled a surprised Fairy. 

"Toxy!" Lucien cried out with joy. 

"And Pinkie!" Alex said as she landed on the ground. Fairy kicked at Toxy and managed to get out from her grip. She shook herself off and grimaced. 

"How'd you escape?" she questioned. 

"Oh... your guards are quite stupid," Toxy grinned and she jumped at Fairy. The pink pony jumped away quickly and slammed herself into Leo who hit the ground, hissing. 

"That's it," Alex growled. He took a shard of glass and cut his arm. Blood started to ooze out before forming into tendrils snaking out of his arm. Fairy stared at him, eyes wide. Alex hunched over, seemingly in pain as the tendrils shot towards Fairy in every direction. She tried to run but one hit her shoulder. Fairy cried out and she crumpled to the ground. Toxy and Pinkie ran at her and pinned her to the ground. Fairy squirmed, the tendril still in her arm as Alex stumbled towards them. He stabbed another into her other arm and she started to writhe with pain. 

"Capture her," Alex hissed, the blood starting to crumble away. Lucien ran over with tape and started to tape up Fairy. 

"Hey... where's Ripple and Kai?" Pinkie asked, glancing around. 

"They went to the building to save you," Lucien answered as Leo moved towards them. Pinkie blinked slowly and looked towards the Alliance building far off in the distance. 

"Die."

Ripple felt the force pushing down on his neck. He writhed in pain as he tried to get free. Kai seemed to be in the same boat. The pony above them landed on the ground gracefully. A black scarf fluttered around his neck, his muscles tense as the forces continued to hold them down. 

"You both are such nuisances to the our group," he said.

"Who a-are you," Ripple choked out. 

"None of your business," he spat, his cold eyes turning to him. The grip on Kai seemed to loosen as the force pressed against Ripple harder. Red and black spots started to fill his vision and he could feel himself loosing consciousness. Ripple looked over to watch Kai as he started to force his wings open, trying to get free from the grip. The grip on him loosened. Ripple scrambled to his hooves, head spinning. Behind him, Kai had tackled the pony. Ripple looked at Kai and they shared a look of understanding. The pony stood up. 

"Tell us your name!" Ripple demanded. 

"Torque. Sad you haven't heard of me before," he spat, slamming into Ripple. Kai wrestled him to the ground, Ripple joining in on the fight. Torque kicked at them and Kai tumbled away. Ripple pinned him to the ground. Torque hissed at him and something slammed into Ripple's jaw. He stumbled off, clutching at his face. Kai ran over to him only to be knocked to the ground with another invisible force. Ripple and Kai backed away slowly. They watched Torque with wary eyes, and Torque watched with enjoyment. 

"I'm going to kill you both, bring your heads back to my Master and get all the praise I can get. After you, I'll move on and kill everyone you love," Torque hissed. Ripple growled. 

"No way I'll let you do that you bastard," Ripple spat. Kai nodded in agreement. Torque started to approach them. Everything was silent as they backed away with each step he took.

"Fight me!" Torque snarled as he lunged at them. Ripple and Kai scattered. Ripple bolted off as Kai took off in the opposite direction. Torque let out a scream and took off after Ripple. Ripple looked over his shoulder to see something that only nightmares could conjure. Smoke hazed around him and he had sprouted another pair of legs that twitched on his sides. 

"Holy shit!" Ripple cried out as he put on another burst of speed. Torque was definitely catching up to him. Ripple veered sharply and sped towards the place they were originally at. Kai was standing there, yelling at him to run faster. Torque's leg caught him and Ripple went tumbling head over heel down the small hill. Once he was at the bottom, he scrambled to his hooves and stopped beside Kai, breathing heavily. 

"We have two choices!" Ripple yelped as Torque ran at them, full speed, his extra set of legs flailing. Kai started to run away, Ripple close behind. 

"We can try to use that weird thing we did last time we fought Fairy!!" Ripple shouted. Kai glanced at him as they ran. 

"We've tried to use it before and it never worked!" Kai pointed out as Toque let out an ear piercing screech. Ripple slammed his hooves into the ground and pivoted so he was facing Torque. Kai readied himself a little ways back. Ripple's horn started to glow, sucking the light out of the air. 

"Dark Magic! he shouted. Kai simultaneously yelled Unison. Suddenly, a blast of darkness and light combined. Torque let out another screech as it hit him. A boom roared through the area, the sound of the earth caving in on itself. Ripple fell backwards, but Kai managed to hold his ground. The explosion died out, smoke billowing out of a large crater in the middle of the field. Torque's now mangled body laid there. 

"Nice job..." Ripple said as he stood up. He started to sway. His vision went black and he fell to the ground. Kai grabbed at his head, crumpling to the ground. He, along with Ripple, lost consciousness. 

SCREAMING VIOLENTLY! I managed to snag the computer from my brother!!!!!!! Wow! We're getting close to the really good part. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and remember to keep a look out for chapter 15!
