Toxy and Pinkie
They fell against cold concrete. A loud crash echoed through the stone cavern as a large metal gate was locked into place. Toxy ran over to the gate and grabbed the bars, shaking it.
"Let us out!" Toxy yowled. One of the guards glared at her as she started to make whooping noises and started shouting.
"Shut up, already!" The guard spat.
"I'm not gunna be quiet until you let us out!" Toxy stuck her tongue out at the guard. Pinkie crept over to her and frowned.
"I don't think we should antagonize the guards..." Pinkie said quietly. She walked up to the cage and looked around. The entire thing was about 6 stories, and each story had about 50 cages circling around. There must've been around 300 cages in total, and each of them were filled, save a few empty ones. Some of the prisoners let out bone chilling cries and some yelled with whatever strength they seemed to have left for help. Pinkie looked down and her shoulders tightened.
"This is disgusting..." she hissed. Toxy nodded in agreement as she studied the cage.
"We gotta get out.." Toxy murmured. She ran to the bars and pushed on each of them. She poked her snout through the bars.
"Yo, how are we fed?" Toxy questioned. The guard looked at her with annoyance.
"We bring it to you and give you it," the guard said. Toxy nodded and backed away.
"We can maybe escape then?" Pinkie whispered and Toxy nodded with a grin.
Hours had passed and Toxy was on her head with her body propped against the wall and Pinkie was rolled over in the middle of the cell. Their stomachs were rumbling.
"Do we EVER GET TO EAT?!" Toxy called out.
"You'll get food at the end of the day and at the beginning of the day," the guard explained from where he stood. Toxy groaned and her arms flopped to the side. She fell over onto the concrete and rubbed it.
"So cold... just like all their hearts in this place," Toxy muttered. Pinkie watched her through half-opened eyes.
"Yeah... I agree," she sighed.
Another few hours had passed and the food FINALLY showed up. Toxy scrambled to her feet and the cage scraped against the ground as it opened. The guard stood their, spear raised, plus a tray of food.
"You gotta share," he smiled. Toxy looked at the tray as it was thrown in and she tried to grab the guard but he kicked her away.
"No, no no, that's not acceptable!" the guard spat and threw the tray into the cage. Before it hit the ground, Toxy saved it. She plopped it down on the ground and the two let out disgusted groans. There were three dry slices of bread, warm water, and what looked like actual shit. Toxy backed away.
"I'd rather we not eat that?" she grunted. Pinkie nodded, backing away. Pinkie pushed the tray away and hung her head.
"I'd hate to be a damsel in distress... we gotta get out of here!" Toxy muttered, studying the room. Their stomachs rumbled in sync.
"We gotta get outta here soon, before we die of hunger," Pinkie said, laying on the ground and falling asleep. Toxy watched her and pursed her lips before rolling onto her side, curling up, and then falling asleep.
Toxy woke up with pains in her stomach. She clutched at her belly and grimaced. She looked over at Pinkie who was holding her stomach and rolling around a bit.
"I'm so hungryyyy," Pinkie complained. Toxy slowly nodded. She was gonna get them out of there. A loud shriek pierced the air and Toxy and Pinkie both ran up to the bars of the cage and looked out. Across the gaping hold was a dead body. Blood dripped from their neck and a spear had been stabbed through it. Toxy let out a horrified gasp and the body was thrown into the pit.
"Oh my gosh..." Pinkie whispered, gulping down bile. Toxy turned away and tapped her hoof on the ground.
"I'm gonna break out.. right now!" Toxy spat and tried to pull the bars open but she slid to the ground and blew her hair from her face.
"Nevermind..." Toxy looked at the guard and saw the keys glinting on his belt.
"Hey mister! Can you come here for a moment?" she asked, putting her fist out of the bars and beckoning him over. The guard walk over and stood just out of reach. Toxy mentally growled.
"So... what do I do if I have to pee?" Toxy asked. Pinkie stood behind her, eyes widening.
"Just pee in the cage," the guard spat.
"But that's embarrassing! Can you at least take me to an empty cage to pee?" she questioned, acting like she needed to go. The guard looked over and moved closer to the cage. Toxy swiped at him and caught the keys. They were attached to his belt. She pulled as hard as she could and the chain snapped. Toxy fell backwards and the keys clattered onto the floor right at the entrance to the door. The guard scrambled up but Toxy pulled the keys into their cell.
"Haha! Dumbass," she giggled and clinked the keys around. Pinkie ran up to the cage and pulled the guard to the ground. The other guards started to run for the cell they were in.
"Hurry and open it!" Pinkie hissed, trying her best to hold the guard down through the cage. Toxy reached through and fumbled to get the keys into the slot. The door let out a click and she pushed it open. She dragged the guard to the pit and kicked him in.
"Sorry!" she yelled as his screams faded to nothing. The other guards were almost on them. Toxy flapped her wings and pulled the clip off. She hissed in pain and then took to the sky with Pinkie close behind her.
"Unlock all the cages!" Toxy shouted and Pinkie took the keys and started to unlock the cells along the bottom floor. Toxy flew at the guard on the second floor and knocked him down. She wrestled to get the keys and threw him into the pit as well as she started to unlock the cells. Chaos had broken out below her as the captives swarmed out, yelling and shouting. The guards were being pummeled relentlessly. Toxy and Pinkie continued their scheme until all the cells were unlocked.
"Let's get out of here, now!" Pinkie yelled and they swooped past the other prisoners that were running out the exit. They were met by several other guards and they were knocked to the ground as the prisoners ran them over.
"Haha! Suckers!" Toxy laughed. She looked around the corner to see a large shadow coming towards them. Pinkie hushed everyone down and then the figure came around the corner. It was a small black creature with large wings and a long tail. It's blue eyes blinked.
"Plagg!" Pinkie cried out in joy. That meant the others were around here somewhere.
"Where did you come from?" Toxy asked. Plagg pointed down the hallway and then he vanished back into the shadows. The sound of guards echoed through the corridor.
"Time to make our great escape!" Toxy laughed and they charged down the tunnel and full speed.
