Once I got back to the castle I looked for Mason but one of the guards told me that he was doing business and was not to be disturbed. I fell asleep for a few hours before changing into my uniform. I heard a knock at my door, "come in," I said sliding my twin blades into the holders.
Mason stood in the doorway as I fixed my hair, "so, what are you doing?"
"Sorry Prince," he winced at me calling him that, "I have first sift and," I leaned back to look at the clock, "I'm almost late. But I'll be there during the later hours." I walked out of my room, tilting his golden crown, that shimmered in the dying sun, on my way out. "You can have your dance then," he blushed and closed my door.
"Well then I'll see you later," he said as we parted ways.
I heard a small voice as I was walking past the garden, "I heard The Prince got a protector," it was a person of Noble descent. I could hear it in their voice. Strong and harsh, like they were above everyone. I sighed throwing myself behind pillar, curiosity taking over me.
"I heard from some of the maids that he's fallen for her," I rolled my eyes. If The King found out about rumors like this were floating along the palace walls h-, I didn't let the thought cross my mind.
"That would certainly make things awkward if she had to take a blood oath," I blushed, I'd already decided that the only person who would be getting my loyalty would be Noah, but I decided that before meeting Mason.
"I have already asked to meet with The King to make sure that my daughter isn't being overlooked for childish nonsense," I gasped, well I knew I was going to have to face him eventually. They walked away and I couldn't make out the rest of their word from the noise of the palace.

I waited at my post, which was in front of the door, probably some sort of revenge from Lucas, for a few minutes. Hoping that the three of them would show up soon. The next carriage pranced its way up but I didn't notice when Noah and Sabrina got out, I was too busy looking at Mason, he was standing on a tares talking to some Noble. When I looked back Noah and Sabrina were walking up the stars and Sabrina was awkwardly waving at me. Either she was drunk or trying to get us killed, but I sheepishly waved back. "Hey love birds," I said getting a crack out of Noah's face.
"I could say the same about you and Mason," I look at Noah, my eyes narrow and I blush. After they walked in the guard on the other side looked at me and I just shrugged my shoulders. After Noah and Sabrina walked in Jackson and October came out. When I looked back at Mason he was staring at his brother amazed and I giggled a little bit. He only knows half of it, I thought.
Jackson had gotten most of the way up the stairs before stopping in front of me, "Always stare at my brother?" My attention snapped to Jackson as I blushed.
"Please go in, Your Highness," I said drawing his attention to the door.
"No thank you, but October would you give me and Kaitlin a minute?" But when he turned October was already through the door. "What would you do if I stayed out here the whole time?" he asked tempting my temper.
"I would probably stab you repeatedly in the face," I said with a deep breath, "Your Highness," my eyes narrowed.
"Okay I'll leave," He said leaving me to the darkness of the night. ______________________________________________________________________
Lucas walked by, "Your shift is done. You can go back to cutting down innocent trees for practice," I rolled eyes.
"Actually, Mason," his eyes narrowed, I caught my mistake, "The Prince has asked me for a dance or two," I said with a smile.
