I woke to a knock at the door. "One second Lucas," I had slept so calmly that I completely forgot about my summoning. I fell out of bed. I quickly got up and slid my boots on. When I opened the door it wasn't Lucas, it was a completely random guard. "Hum, I thought Lucas would be the one taking me," I pondered under my breath.

The mans poster straightened as he led me down the hall. "Because of Lucas's past we did not find him... fit for this job,"I gulped, holding down the thoughts of what might happen. We reached the towering doors in silence. "Do you have any weapons?" he asked as the doors creaked open. I grabbed my dagger out of my left boot and handed it to him. I wondered if he knew about me. If he knew that I was a weapon meself.

When I walked into the room the doors slammed behind me. There is only three people in the room. Me, The King, and a shadowy figure. The other guard had left after the I went in. I tried listening to his footsteps but couldn't. I tried, focusing my fae ears for one sound, but to no avail. I tensed up, choking on the atmosphere. "You seem on edge, girl...," I tried focusing on the stars hoping to see what was in the future for me. "You think I would let the best trained Fae in my courtroom and not cut off her magic," I took a deep breath, closing my eyes for a split second. Magic manipulation. Without my magic and weapons I only hand my hand to hand combat training which I was horrible at.

The King beacons the shadowy figure out. His eyes were dark and lifeless, a sure sign of magic manipulation. His hair is jet black like his soul. He walks out and cracks an iron tipped whip against the marble floor. The sound of the whip making contact with the marble is enough to make me wince. "I have already warned you not to get close to The Prince," the whip hits against the marble again as the nameless guard walks towards me, "but yesterday I got complaints from quite a few Nobles and Lords about the possibility of my son falling in love." I sighed, that couldn't be the only thing he brought me in here to tell me. "So, to make sure nothing does happen you will be wiped four times," my back started burning at the thought of the iron burning my skin. I winced. Four was such a random number, but then it hit me. Four lives were taken last night. Somehow he knew, he knew and he was going to keep me alive just to torture me with the thought of him getting information out of me. "Do you understand the situation," I nod my head.

I was throw on my knees by some invisible force. The whip cracks. The man comes closer and I given in with no fight, the smart thing to do. I look up and he has the whip in mid air. It comes slamming down on my back a split second later. The pain hit and I let out a scream that is silenced by The King. The iron burns into my skin, leaving a dent. Just as the pain starts to get better the whip fly back in the air. I let a small tear fall to the floor and black out from the pain.

I wake up in my bed and hope it was all some nightmare or vision. I turn around but get stopped by the horrendous pain. It was not some nightmare or vision yet a warning for what could happen. "Ow," I whisper in pain as I get out of bed. The curtain opens up and someone steps threw the light. "Mason?" I hoped it wasn't Mason there. There is no way I can tell him what happened.

To my surprise it wasn't Mason. "Get back in bed," Lucas commanded. I rolled my eyes.

"First, get out of my room," He didn't move in inch. He must be as stubborn as me. I walked into the bathroom and threw on a white t-shirt. "Second, no." I tied my cloak around my shoulders and started walking towards the door, but I collapsed from the pain.

"And that is why you should listen to me more often," he said as he lifted me to my feet. I almost laughed but I winced from the pain. "Gods what did you do against The King?" Lucas asked, baffled by the options.
