Rejected

At some point in your life, you will feel like you're being rejected. Whether it's a letter from your dream college saying you've been waitlisted, or someone who doesn't high five your outstretched hand. The feeling of rejection is fleeting. It can be real, or all in your head, and sometimes you just never know. I'd like to say that people will never reject you intentionally, because your beautiful soul doesn't deserve that, but there are just those people in the world who feed off of other's negative emotions just for kicks. So here you are like, "what the fuck?" and I'm like, "yeah, yikes." But I can promise you that the people who can't see your brilliance shinning bright, don't deserve the effort that you put into presenting who you believe in the most. Only you reserve the right to define who you are. You don't have the time for people to come around, eventually.

Don't ever make assumptions about people you know nothing about. That is one of the most dangerous things you can do. You risk exploiting amazing opportunities you could've had, or you might truly hurt someone. Everyone has emotions, that's not a secret, but some people are just better at hiding theirs. But I can tell you that no one enjoys feeling hurt or alone or lost. While exploring the mystery of life is an adventure that some would rather do alone, experiencing life with other people can form gracious developments in finding who you are and what you are meant to do. Of course you can live your life in any way that you please, more power to you. But it is so much better for you, and for others, to make your environment and the people around you a priority. No one's asking you to walk around with fruit baskets for every person you meet, but being polite and civil is never underappreciated. Live life with a purpose, in the pursuit of universal joy, peace, and happiness.
