If I'm wrong, educate me. Don't patronize me. I am all for having a civilized conversation about anything, even if we're disagreeing. But if for whatever reason, you have a way to prove that I'm wrong, I'm okay with that too. But do not degrade my opinions or my beliefs. Do not make me feel inadequate for things that I was unaware of. I know that the urge to boast about a "victory" is strong, but please resist the urge to rub it in. I've never met a single person who's enjoys being wrong, let alone being made fun of for it. Don't just show sympathy, show some empathy as well.

Some people just enjoy making others feel inferior. Those people make the world burn. I've met a few of those, in fact I've been friends with some of those, who've broken my heart in many contexts of the phrase. As I type this, I'm crying, because my friends are hurting me, maybe not even realizing it, but I hurt. Sometimes there's more to say than people can handle. And this is one of those times. Movies and tv shows and books build us up to have a personal expectation of what high school and college and life will be. But, as everyone comes to realize, usually sooner than later, these perceptions don't really come true. Even if we do everything we see, we don't get what we expect. I'm in high school. I'm in drama and band and marching band and choir and orchestra and softball and student council and AP classes. But even with all the things I do and all the people I'm surrounded by, I feel empty and lonely. So when I finally did achieve some friendships, I was over excited and I made them my biggest priorities, only to realize that these friendships were with the wrong people. At times they make me feel worthless, they make me feel unwanted, they make me feel wrong. That's not to say that they are bad people though, not at all. More times than not, they have no idea that they are making me feel this way. I guess that's kind of where the injustice presents itself. I feel the pain, unwanting. They inflict it, unknowing. It hardly seems fair. I have absolutely no idea if anyone can relate to this. At this point, I'm just funneling these thoughts out, hoping to remedy an illness that may or may not be terminal, may or may not be contagious. So I'm not even sure if it makes any sense. But I have so much to say and no one to say it to, so here I am. Accept. Appreciate. Allow. Please.
