(Edward's pov): Why doesn't Bella love me?
I love her.
I would do anything for her.
I could buy her anything she's ever wanted.
I could buy her a new phone, flat, car, clothes, jewelry...
even an entire island if she really wanted it.
She could have everything.
So why doesn't she want to be my girlfriend?
I get that she's still not over Harry and that I look like him but...
what about all that Ive done so that I don't look like him?
The eyeliner and the piercings...
I wouldn't of gotten dimple piercings for all the beautiful girls in the world but I did for her.
She means so much to me.
She's my world.
So why don't I mean anything to her?
"Edward come on." Bella laughs, snapping me out of my thoughts. "You're so slow." She teases, taking my hand and pulling me to where Max is running in circles. He holds his favorite toy in his drooling mouth, begging us to play with him. "Ok Maxie, give it to me." Bella giggles, taking the large rubber bone from him.
He gets down on his front paws, tail wagging furiously as he waits for Bella to throw the blue colored toy. She fakes throwing it to his left and as he moves that way, she throws to the right. We laugh as he immediately switches directions and sprints toward the rubber missile. "Don't do that to poor little Max." I laugh. "Why not? I used to do that all the time with my old dog, Ace." She says.
"Really? What kind of dog was he?" I ask conversationally. "He was a mix but mostly black lab." She answers. Max races up to us, hard earned prize in his jaw. "So is Max, but chocolate lab." I reply, taking the bone from him. I throw it as far as possible so that me and Bella can talk more. "Really? That's so cool." She smiles. "Where did you get Max?" She asks. I hesitate. "Uh... well... my brother got him... from the pound." I mumble.
It isn't a lie.
My brother really did get Max from the pound.
"Harry?" Her expression changes but I can't tell what she's thinking. "No, not him." I answer slowly. "You have another brother?" She looks relieved it wasn't Harry. Does she really dislike Harry that much?
It doesn't matter.
The point is, he never told her about Marcel and now I have to.
But I don't want to.
It'll ruin the mood of this date and everything will get quiet and awkward.
"Yeah but that's not important right now." I brush off her question easily, trying not to sound rude.
She accepts my answer without question, putting her focus into running after Max. I hang back, making a mental note to tell her the whole story of Marcel Styles later.
After I get her to be my girlfriend.
I sit on the blanket I laid out for us, watching Max chase Bella around the park. She runs to me and jumps into my lap, using my arms as protection from the beast with four dirty paws and a soaking wet bone in his mouth. We laugh as Max sniffs Bella's hair, leaving a trail of saliva in his wake.
I swat him away, taking his toy in the process. I throw it as far as I can and he starts running away again. "Ok, you can come out now." I chuckle, letting go off her. She giggles, shaking her head, "But your lap is so comfy." She smiles, holding me from around the waist and burying her head in my chest.
