The scream started off high-pitched and then deepened to more of a yell.

Tyler was sure he was the only awake. He snuck downstairs, making sure to be extra quiet when he opened and shut the door.

Then he started running, almost sprinting to where the yelling and crying had been coming from.

Tyler started getting really worried when he got close to Josh's house. He slowed down to a walk.

Suddenly he heard a slap and another scream. A body had fallen to the ground from what he heard.

"Stop!" A weak voice screamed. "Please, stop!"

It was in the forest.

"I didn't...do anything!" It was at that moment Tyler recognized that voice. It was Josh.

"You are a bitch who can't do anything fucking right! You hear that bitch!" A voice screamed that sounded deeper than a lot of voices Tyler had heard. It also had a British accent.

"Plea-" Josh choked and another slap must have hit because he screamed.

Finally, Tyler was there. His only friend was lying on the ground, his face red and his eyes tightened shut. The white shirt he had out on before was ripped, and Tyler was pretty sure Josh didn't grab any ripped jeans. He had one sock on. Josh's arms were a bloody mess. Cuts and scars were across his body.

The boy who was the victim was laughing. He had one black eye and some dried blood on his leg. His black hair was up tightly in a mohawk. He had blue eyes that reflected his dark skin perfectly.

Josh seemed to push himself up just as the boy started to swing another punch at his face.

Being Tyler, he ran towards Josh and grabbed the boys arm and swung it into the ground, the rest of the boy falling.

Josh was barely sitting up when the boy started to thrust himself up like he was invincible.

"Eh, look 'o we got 'ear." He laughed maniacally. "A small, weak one. Hm, lookie at that Joshua."

"D-don't hurt him." Tyler stuttered. He felt so alive for some reason. Too alive.

"Oooh, I'm scared!' He teased. "What's your name, puppy boy?"

"Tyler Joseph." He told him. "Why does it matter?"

"I'm Eli. Nice to meet 'cha," Eli started to walk closer, and put his hand out for a handshake.

All of a sudden Tyler seemed to have left his own body. He couldn't control anything, only speak.

His body just about grabbed the hand when Josh yelled something just behind him. He was standing.

"Run..." He commanded.

Tyler's body did, but Tyler didn't want to.

"No! Josh!" He screamed. Tyler couldn't do anything. He wished he could.

Suddenly his body stopped in the perfect spot to watch.

Watch.

No...

Yes, watch your heart break. Watch your life fall apart. Watch his life fall apart.

Eli swung a punch at Josh. He missed but barely. Josh tried to sway his own fist towards Eli, but suddenly, Eli took a knife out of thin air.
