There and Back Again {On Hold}

Karkat's POV:

It was all a blur...the bus ride...

I stumbled off the bus, trying not to trip on my way down.

I walked home slowly thinking of everything that could go wrong.

I felt like I was gonna vomit...

I felt like I was about to pass out...

I could barley breathe...

I felt like I was letting my whole family down...

I finally stumbled up to my door and opened it, and tumbled in.

Dad was on the couch.
I must have looked like shit cause his eyes widened at the state I was in.

"Karkat?? What's the matter? You're as white as a ghost!"

"He was...he..I...he just..he..." I just mumbled out.
"Karkat calm down and tell me what's wrong."

Just then I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"What's going on?" Asked my step brother from The stairs.

You've gotta be joking...

"Uh...never mind...its...its fine..I just had a bad day is all...I just...I need to lie down..." I stammered.

I walked up the stairs past john.

I went in my room and took off my backpack and my hoodie.

I then walked slowly to the bathroom and locked myself in then proceeded to splash water on my face.

When I came out john was standing right there in front of the door and he made me jump.

"You're jumpy today..."

I ignored and walked past him to my room. He followed me.
"What's wrong?"

I then proceeded to punch him in the arm, really hard.

"Ow! What was that for??"

"You asshole! You..you scared the hell out of me!" I screamed at him.

He looked confused. "...what did I do?"

"I...I looked everywhere! I texted you! I..I was scared something happened..."

He looked even more confused.

"You just left? You didn't even bother to text me?"

"Something came up..." He said firmly.
"Well? What came up??" I yelled, a little quieter this time.
"My medicine isn't working properly..." He replied.

"Oh..."

"yeah...I uh..got The thing and started freaking out...so the teacher sent me to the nurse.." He mumbled.

"Well what going on? Are you ok?" I asked.
"I don't know...we're going to the docter tomorrow..."

"Oh..."

I can't believe His medicine isn't working right now...
Is something wrong with his body...?
I hope not... His medicine is the only thing that keeps him...him.

I went to bed kinda jumpy tonight..
I really needed to know whats going on with john...I hope he's ok...

The whole day was kinda a blur...I couldn't think of anything else but john...

I told Terezi that I couldn't really hangout today, and she understood.
Jade and rose asked What was up with john and I told them he was sick..

I mean yeah they both accept me and Dave and would probably accept john I just dont want them seeing him as someone different...even though he's the same john he always was and will be.

Hopefully...

When I got home from school. They weren't there so I patiently waited for them.

They got home about two hours after me.

"Well?" I asked as we walked into my room.
"Well..." He started. "the doctor said that my body has become immune to my medicine....so the only way to solve this.. Is to convert back or surgery..."

"Convert back?? You can't convert back you're john Egbert!" I almost yelled.
"I already told them that I don't want to convert back..." He mumbled.
"So...does this mean..surgery?" I asked.
"Yep...there's not a set date yet but...yeah..I have to have surgery." he smiled. "at least after I'll be a real boy and not a girl with a binder on."

I was happy for him...but also scared...
I heard that this surgeries take months to recover from...I hope he'll be ok..

Sorry this is short, I've got finals coming up And I'm kinda stressed out.
