40. Final Destination

Y/N's POV
I kept driving until about 4:00 pm and Joey took over.
Y/N: "So how long until we're at our final destination?"
Joey: "I don't know maybe 9ish hours"
Y/N: "Well I'm gonna take a nap. Are you gonna keep driving until we get there?"
Joey: "Probably not, we'll stay somewhere tonight to get rested up for the big day tomorrow"
I gave him a questioning look.
Y/N: "What do you mean "big day"?"
Joey: "Well... We're gonna be at our final destination tomorrow"
Y/N: "Oh. Well I'm gonna take a nap"
I turned my head to look out the window and closed my eyes. I soon fell asleep.

Joey's POV
I drove for about 5 hours until we got to the hotel. While I was driving, I got a call from Matt. I connected my phone to Bluetooth so answered it.
Matt: "Hey Joey"
Joey: "Hey Matt what's up?"
Matt: "I was just wondering how far away you are from M-"
Joey: "Shhhhhh. You're on speaker"
Matt: "Oh I'm so sorry"
Joey: "It's ok she's sleeping"
Matt: "Oh alright but are you almost there?"
Joey: "Yeah maybe 4 more hours"
Matt: "Are you gonna do it there?"
Joey: "I was thinking about it and I wanna do it in LA"
Matt: "Oh I see"
Joey: "Yeah I'll tell you what I'm thinking about later"
Matt: "Alright. Well I was checking to see how you guys were and if you were almost there"
Joey: "Well thank bro. Have a good night"
Matt: "Good night"
Once I arrived at the hotel. I woke up Y/N by lightly shaking her.
Joey: "Y/N time to wake up"
Y/N: "mmmm"
She slowly opened her eyes and met up with the beautiful E/C. I got lost in them. Y/N placed her hands on the sides of my face and kissed me. When I pulled away I smiled at her.
Joey: "We should grab a change of clothes for tomorrow"
Y/N: "Alright"
Y/N slowly got out of the car because she was still sleepy. We both grabbed some clothes and shoved it in a bag and walked towards the entrance.
Y/N: "Where ever we're going it's definitely colder than LA"
I chuckled at her comment. We walked to the lobby and checked in and went to our room. As soon as Y/N got in she walked over to the bed and got under the sheets. She immediately fell asleep once her head hit the pillow. I did a light chuckle at her cuteness. I got changed and brushed my teeth. I got in bed beside her and wrapped my arms around her waist. I pulled the sheets over me and fell asleep within a few minutes.

Next Day

I felt pressure on my waist. I slowly opened my eyes to a bright room making my eyes burn. I groaned loudly, I could hear Y/N giggle. When my eyes adjusted to the brightness, I saw Y/N straddling me.
Y/N: "Good morning Sunshine"
She said while smiling.
Joey: "Good morning"
I said smiling back. She leaned down and softly kissed me. I tackled her into a hug so she was laying on me. She squirmed trying to get out of my grasp but I hugged her tightly. Eventually, she just gave up and laid there on my chest. I moved my arms off of her so she could get up. She got up and went over to the coffee machine.
Joey: "Did you sleep well last night?"
Y/N: "No, I had a crappy sleep for some reason"
Joey: "You could have woken me up"
Y/N: "Joey you need just as much sleep as I need so when you sleep I'm gonna let you sleep"
Joey: "But still I feel bad"
Y/N: "It's ok I'll just sleep in the car on the way to our final destination"
Joey: "Are you sure?"
Y/N: "Yeah Joey don't worry about it"
Joey: "Ok fine"
I got up and went up behind Y/N while she was waiting for her coffee to be ready. I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her cheek. She turned around to face me and hugged me tightly.
Y/N: "I love you, Joey"
I kissed the top of her head.
Joey: "I love you too baby"
We both stood there for a little bit but then I let Y/N tend to her coffee I went to go change into my clothes. When I came back out I saw Y/N in the bed with coffee. I smiled at her.
Joey: "You look so cute right now"
She just chuckled at me.
Joey: "Are you ready to go soon?"
Y/N: "Yeah I guess"
Joey: "Take your time baby"
Y/N: "We should probably get going"
Y/N got up and grabbed her clothes and went to the washroom. Within a few minutes, she came out. She came and sat beside me. She laid her head on my shoulder. We laid there for few minutes and decided we should get going. Me and Y/N grabbed our stuff and checked out. Once we got into the car, I started to drive to the final destination. We were on the road for a little bit. I looked over to see Y/N on her phone.
Joey: "I thought you were going to sleep?"
Y/N: "No I want to stay up for a few hours then I'll probably fall asleep"
Joey: "Oh ok"
I drove for a few more hours and looked over to see Y/N sleeping. I kept driving and we were about 10 minutes away. It was around 9:30 pm. I pulled into the familiar driveway that I pulled into a few months earlier. I walked up to the doorway leaving Y/N in the car. I knocked on the door and wait for a few seconds before the door opened.
Unknown: "Hi Joey!!!!"
Joey: "Hey Mrs. L/N"
Mrs. L/N: "Where's Y/N?"
Joey: "She's in the car sleeping"
Mrs. L/N: "Oh ok well bring her in I'll get her bed ready for you two"
Joey: "Thank you so much Mrs. L/N"
Mrs. L/N: "Please, call me M/N"
Joey: "Alright M/N, I'll go grab Y/N"
M/N: "Ok come right in"
I walked to the car and unbuckled Y/N's seatbelt. I gently picked her up and brought her up to her house. Y/N's mom opened the door for me. I carried Y/N to her room and laid her down softly onto the bed. I took the blanket that was at the end of the bed and covered Y/N up with it. I laid on top of the sheet and fell asleep almost immediately. When I woke up the next morning. I got out and went to the kitchen. Y/N's mom was up.
M/N: "Good morning Joey"
Joey: "Good morning M/N. Thank you for letting us stay for few days"
M/N: "Oh no problem. I love to see you guys"
I smiled at her.
Joey: "Would you like to come to LA? We are planning on having a "Welcome home" party when me and Y/N get back. Even though I know about it"
M/N: "Thank you, Joey, but we can't get there without plane tickets"
Joey: "What if told you I bought some?"
M/N: "You didn't"
Joey: "Oh but I did. I'll be back"
I went outside to grab the plane tickets. I went back inside and handed them to Y/N's mom. She began to tear up. She hugged me tightly.
M/N: "Thank you, Joey"
Joey: "No problem. I'll give the keys to our place and I do have a dog"
M/N: "That's ok, I love dogs. Thanks again Joey"
Joey: "No problem and don't tell Y/N"
Y/N: "Don't tell me what?"
Joey: "Nothing"
Y/N's mom went to go hug her I smiled at them. Y/N's dad came into the kitchen.
D/N: "Hey Y/N, Hey Joey"
He hugged Y/N then came over to me and shook my hand.
M/N: "Well breakfast is ready"
We all sat at the table and ate breakfast together. I could tell this was the beginning of a great next few weeks.
