43. Welcome Home

Joey's POV
We had finally arrived home from our long trip. Me and Y/N were greeted warmly by Cali. Y/N dropped all of her things tackled Cali with hugs and kisses. I chuckled at them. I went and brought the rest of the things into the house. Y/N was still busy with Cali so I went to join them. Cali was running in between me and Y/N. 15 minutes went by and Cali had calmed down.
Y/N: "I'm gonna go take a nap"
Joey: "Ok we're gonna go to the warehouse later, Matt wants to see us"
Y/N: "Ok. Come take a nap with me you need one"
Joey: "Yeah I will in a few minutes"
Y/N walked upstairs to our room. I called Matt.
Matt: "Hello?"
Joey: "Hey Matt, it's Joey"
Matt: "Oh hey are you home?"
Joey: "Yeah. Where are Y/N's parents?"
Matt: "They're at the office. When will you be coming?"
Joey: "We're going to take a nap then we will come"
Matt: "Ok well text me before you come"
Joey: "Ok. I'll see you later"
I hung up and ran upstairs to see Y/N cuddled up with Cali and with blankets covering the both of them. I got under the blankets beside them and turned around to face Y/N. She looked so adorable. I shut my eyes but I couldn't seem to fall asleep. I opened my eyes back up and laid there. I turned over and stared at the ceiling. I went on my phone and waited for Y/N to wake up. I grew impatient and got up out of bed. I went downstairs and unpacked the stuff from our trip. Half an hour later Y/N came down and wrapped her arms around my waist.
Y/N: "Did you take a nap?"
Joey: "No. I couldn't fall asleep"
Y/N: "Why hun?"
Joey: "I don't know"
Y/N: "Well I bet you will sleep like a baby tonight"
Joey: "Probably"
Y/N helped me unpack our stuff for a little bit. We then decided it was time to go to the office. I quickly texted Matthias to say we were coming.

Time Skip

Y/N's POV
I arrived at the office with Joey. We went through the back where the warehouse is. All of the lights were turned off.
Y/N: "I thought you said the boys would be here"
The lights suddenly came on.
Group: "WELCOME HOME!!"
I was shocked and touched. I saw everyone including my parents. I turned around and gave Joey a quick death glare before I went to hug my parents. Then hugged everyone else and thanked them for doing this. It was kind of like Matt's surprise party, there were games set up and all kinds of snacks. I went around and socialized with some people. I was talking to Amanda and Joey's mom.
Joey: "Y/N?"
I turned around to where I heard the familiar voice. I was met with the familiar breathtaking blue eyes.
Y/N: "Yeah Hun?"
Joey: "Come over and play beer pong with us"
Y/N: "Alright in a sec"
I turned back to Amanda and Joey's mom and continued the conversation.
Y/N: "If you'll excuse me, I've got to go see my Prince Charming"
Amanda and Joey's mom both chuckled. I walked over to Joey and gave him a peck on the cheek.
Y/N: "What's up?"
Joey: "Play beer pong with us"
Y/N: "Alright, I don't know how good I will be at this"
Joey: "Don't worry you have me"
I chuckled and shook my head. We were playing against Connor and Mike. Me and Joey ended up winning.
Joey: "I'll be right back"
Y/N: "Ok"
I went to go sit at a table, I went on my phone. Joey went over to my parents and took them out into the office part. I went back on my phone just to check my social medias and stuff like that. Sarah came up to me.
Sarah: "Hey Y/N"
Y/N: "Hey Sarah"
Sarah: "I have this for you"
She said holding out a picture in a frame. It was the picture of me and Joey celebrating his goal on the night we played hockey. (AN: That's in chapter 31. Pic below it's what it kind of looked like but the girl has equipment on and you and Joey are kissing )

Y/N: "Oh my god thank you so much!!"
I got up and hugged her tightly.
Sarah: "No problem, I love that photo of you two"
Y/N: "Aww thanks. Do you want to sit with me?"
Sarah: "Yeah sure"
Me and Sarah got in a conversation. We talked for a while then Joey came over and sat at our table.
Y/N: "Hey where were you?"
Joey: "In the washroom. What are you girls up to?"
Y/N: "Sarah was just talking about you when you were little"
Joey's face turned red.
Y/N: "Relax I was just kidding"
Joey let out a sigh of relief.
Y/N: "Why? Do you have something to hide?"
Joey: "No pshh"
I giggled at him.
Y/N: "It's ok you already got to hear all of my embarrassing childhood stories"
Joey: "That is true"
Y/N: "Come sit with us"
Joey sat down and joined into our conversation. He suddenly stood up. He grabbed his glass and tapped on it with a piece of cutlery to get everyone's attention. I began to get nervous.
