33. Show You I Care

He paused again.
Joey: "She kissed me"
Y/N: "WHAT?"

Y/N's POV
I was hoping that I herd Joey wrong, unfortunately, I herd him very clearly. Joey quickly defended himself.
Joey: "But I quickly pushed her off of me. I wouldn't cheat on you Y/N"
I stayed silent. We both stayed silent for the ride home. When I got home I walked straight into the house and up into our room. I set all of my stuff on the bed and walked into the bathroom. I turned on the water to run a bath. I locked the door behind me and I started to take off my clothes so that I was left in my bra and underwear. I looked at myself in the mirror. I picked out every flaw that I saw with my body, it made me disappointed with myself and my body. I just ignored it for now and turned on music on my phone. I took off the rest of my clothing and got into the bath. I sat back and tried to relax, I couldn't do it. I don't know if I can believe Joey. I knew Hannah was bad news from the start but Joey kept defending her "Y/N give her a chance" or "Y/N she's just a friend and nothing more". I got broken out of my thought by a knock on the door. I knew it was Joey outside of the door.
Joey: "Y/N I'm sorry"
I didn't reply back. I was pissed off at him and at Hannah.
Joey: "I know you're pissed off at me but please just say something"
Y/N: "I told you I didn't like her from the start"
Joey: "I know but she was my friend"
Y/N: "Was?"
Joey: "Yeah I kicked her out. I wasn't going to let her stay after what she did"
Y/N: "We will talk about this later"
Joey: "Alright"
I herd Joey walk away from the door and go downstairs. Well knowing that he kicked her out made feel a little better but I still didn't like her. I relaxed for about a half an hour and then got out. When I got out, I got dressed and made my way downstairs. Joey was sitting on the couch watching TV. I went to sit beside him.
Joey: "Hey Angel"
Y/N: "Hey. Can we talk now?"
Joey: "Yeah of course"
Joey turned off the TV and turned to face me.
Y/N: "Ok let's start from the beginning. The first day I met Hannah she was just being snarky towards me and was telling me what to do. Then once you came around she acted nice"
Joey: "Y/N I had-"
Y/N: "No just wait. She was quite obviously flirting with you and you acted like nothing happened. She was a total bitch to me tearing me down piece but piece. Insulting me whenever she had a chance to"
Joey: "Y/N. I'm actually so sorry. I didn't see any of that happening. I did see the flirting going on but I tried to ignore it.
Y/N: "Well you could have told her to stop"
Joey: "I know and I should have. But she's gone now so you won't have to worry about her"
Y/N: "I guess so. I just get jealous and I begin to pick out everything that's wrong with me and I end up hating myself"
Joey: "Y/N you shouldn't hate yourself. You are the most gorgeous girl I've ever met. I love you with all of my heart and I truly mean that"
Joey gently grabbed my face and kissed me softly.
Joey: "I love you so much Y/N"
Y/N: "I love you too Joey"
Joey: "Now can we put this behind us?"
Y/N: "Yeah sorry for overreacting"
Joey: "You didn't overreact. You have every reason to be mad at me. I know what happened in between you and Mark. How he always found a way to put you down and went and cheated on you behind your back. I need to show you how important you are to me. So what do you say we have a day to ourselves? We could watch movies or we could go out and do something together"
Y/N: "Can we go out? I need to get out of the house more"
Joey: "Yeah of course. What do you want to do?"
Y/N: "Maybe we could go bowling or mini golfing or something like that"
Joey: "Yeah sounds good. I'll figure out where we can go. I'll make it a surprise for you"
Y/N: "Joey! You know I hate surprises"
I said whining.
Joey: "I know but I think it will be fun"
Y/N: "Ok fine"
Joey smiled at me. I went up stairs and changed my clothes so that I looked somewhat presentable. I put on a pair of black jeans, a sweater and put on my F/C converse. I walked downstairs and Joey was still on the couch talking to someone on the phone. I didn't really listen to what he was saying because I went into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water. Joey came walking into the kitchen.
Joey: "Are you ready to go?"
Y/N: "Yup but let me check on Cali"
I went out into the living room to go see Cali. Cali was laying in her dog bed. I went to sit beside her and started to softly pet her. I only meant to be there for around two minutes but she got up and moved her head on my lap. I smiled and sat there petting her. Joey came in and leaned against the door frame.
Joey: "You guys are so cute"
I chuckled and continued to pet her. She eventually fell asleep on my lap.
Y/N: "Can our activities wait?"
Joey: "Yeah. You guys look too cute. I just want to admire it"
Joey pulled out his phone and took a picture of me and Cali. I sat there with Cali for a few more minutes then decided I should get up. I gently moved Cali's head off of my lap and walked towards Joey. Cali got up and followed close behind me to him. I turned around and kissed the top of Cali's head.
Joey: "We should take her out for a walk"
Y/N: "Ok"
I said getting excited. I went and grabbed Cali's leash. Cali got excited and jumped up on me. I giggled at her. I put the leash on her and walked her towards the front door where Joey was. I grabbed a ball before we left. We walked out the front door then took her to the park. It was a nice day outside and little chilly but overall it was really nice. I sat on the bench while Joey threw a ball for Cali to retrieve it. While I was sitting there enjoying the view of Joey and Cali. A dog ran up beside me and sat beside me. I began to pet it then looked at its tag. "Chica" My heart skipped a beat. This meant Mark was here somewhere. I looked up from Chica and saw Amy was walking towards me. I was glad it wasn't Mark. Amy sat beside me.
Amy: "Hey Y/N. Sorry about Chica"
Y/N: "Hey Amy. That's ok. How have you been?"
Amy: "I've been ok. Just thought I would take Chica for a walk"
Y/N: "Yeah it's a nice day"
Amy: "Yeah"
She took a seat beside me.
Y/N: "I'm sorry to ask you this but are you and Mark back together?"
Amy: "Yeah. I had to bail him out of jail. I don't know how he ended up there"
I wanted to tell Amy what happened but I wasn't sure if I should. I stayed silent for a minute.
Y/N: "Hmm that's weird"
Amy: "Yeah but I love him lots and he cares about me and makes sure I'm ok before he worries about himself"
Y/N: "That's good. It's great to know that someone really cares about you"
I looked over towards Joey.
Amy: "Yeah. I should get going"
Y/N: "Ok. It was nice seeing you. I'll see you around"
Amy: "Yeah, see ya Y/N"
Amy got up and left with Chica. I walked over towards Joey and Cali. Joey was sitting down with Cali.
Y/N: "Hey Joe Fish"
Joey: "Hey Angel"
Joey got up and kissed me on the cheek. I knelt down so I could pet Cali. I grabbed the tennis ball from her and tossed it. Cali went running after it then came back with it. I did it once more and then she brought it back. I put her on the leash then we walked back home. Joey grabbed my hand and kissed my cheek while we were walking. When we got home I let Cali off the leash, she ran to our room and laid down on our bed. I went into my room to grab the car keys and saw Cali laying on the bed a kissed the top of her head then left the room. I gave her some new water and gave her some food. I gave Joey the car keys and we walked out to the car. Before I could open the door Joey stopped me. He opened the door for me.
Y/N: "Thank you Hun"
He smiled and kissed my cheek. He walked around to his side and got in. He turned on the radio and put it on a low volume. We began to drive to our destination. My arm was resting on the armrest. Joey intertwined his fingers with mine. We were close to the place we were going.
Joey: "Ok I need you to close your eyes"
I closed my eyes and waited until he told me to open them.
Joey: "Ok you can open them"
I opened my eyes and saw that we were at a Mini golf course. I smiled.
Joey: "Are you excited?"
Y/N: "Yeah I'm ready to kick your butt"
Joey snickered.
Joey: "Yeah right"
Y/N: "Is this a challenge?"
Joey: "Yeah. Challenge accepted"
Y/N: "Ok you meme"
Joey chuckled. Me and Joey walked in and paid for us to play. We walked to the first hole. I got a little too cocky and hit the golf ball too hard.
Joey: "Geez Y/N take it easy. This is not hockey"
He said while chuckling.
Y/N: "Ooops"
Joey: "Here let me show you"
Joey put his big hands over my hands. He hovered over my shoulder. I moved my head so that I could see his cute face. He looked over at me and gave a soft kiss on the cheek. He gently swung and hit the golf ball with the club.
Joey: "There"
It took me a couple hits before I got it in. Then Joey went. He got a hole in one.
Joey: "Ha ha yes"
Y/N: "Fuck"
Joey came up to me.
Joey: "Hey it's ok. You can just give up now"
We both chuckled and I shoved him playfully.
Y/N: "Whatever. Let's just move on"

I ended up winning the game of mini golf. We got back in the car and Joey sat there acting like he was mad.
Y/N: "Aww is my Joe Fish mad?"
Joey: "No"
He said pouting. I chuckled at him.
Y/N: "You're so cute"
I said poking his cheek. He turned his head so it was facing me. He smirked at me. He leaned in so that our foreheads were touching. With just one move, our lips were touching. We stayed like that for a few seconds then we pulled away.
Joey: "We are going to go out for dinner later tonight is that ok?"
Y/N: "Yeah that sounds good"
Joey: "Ok good"
We drove home and when we arrived at home it was around 4:45.
Y/N: "So what time are you wanting to go for dinner?"
Joey: "Maybe 6:00"
Y/N: "Ok"
Joey: "We will be going somewhere fancy"
Y/N: "Ok"
Since it was around 4:45. I just chilled on the couch and watched TV for fifteen minutes.
When it was 5:00 I went upstairs to start getting ready. When I got in our room Joey was in there.
Joey: "Hey baby"
Y/N: "Hey I'm going to get ready for dinner"
Joey: "Ok I'll leave you to that but I have to grab somethings"
Joey grabbed the things he needed and left. I turned on my curling iron and got out the little makeup that I had. I curled my hair in loose curls and put on some makeup at that point it was 5:50. I quickly went into the closet and found my F/C dress the hugged all of my curves. I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror. I hated being in dresses but it was worth it for Joey. I found matching heels to go with my dress. Joey yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
Joey: "Y/N? Are you coming?"
Y/N: "Yup in a sec"
I looked at myself one last time in the mirror then went downstairs to see Joey.

Joey's POV
Y/N walked downstairs. When I saw her my heart skipped a beat and my mouth dropped open. She was wearing an F/C dress that hugged her curves in all of the right places, wore light makeup and her hair was in loose curls. I wore a black suit and a black tie.
Y/N: "Hey handsome"
She said while smiling.
Joey: "Wow you look beautiful Y/N"
Y/N chuckled.
Y/N: "Thanks"
She kissed me on the cheek.
Joey: "So are you ready to go?"
Y/N: "Yup"
I escorted Y/N out to the car. I opened the door and she got in. I went to the other side and got in and began to drive to the restaurant.
