19. Protecter

Two Days Later

Joey's POV
I woke up and went to the kitchen. I can't stop thinking about what happened to Y/N a few nights ago and she's probably scared of me since I snapped. I made some oatmeal and cut up some fruit for me and Y/N. I also made Y/N a coffee and I made some a decaf coffee for me. I ate my breakfast and then went to go take a shower in the other bathroom so I wouldn't wake up Y/N. While I was drying off my body Y/N came in.
Y/N: "Oh my god sorry I didn't mean to walk in on you"
I wrapped the towel around my waist casually.
Joey: "It's ok Y/N. Relax we're going to see each other naked at some point"
Y/N: "You're right but still sorry I should have knocked"
I walked up to Y/N and put my arms around her waist. I looked directly into her eyes.
Joey: "Y/N it's ok"
I gave her a kiss on the lips. She then smiled at me.
Joey: "I made breakfast and coffee for you. It's on the table"
Y/N: "Ok thank you"
I walked out of the bathroom and let her do her thing. I got ready for work. When I was finished getting ready I sat on the couch and watched TV.
When Y/N was done in the washroom, she came out, grabbed her breakfast and sat on the couch with me. When she finished, she got up and got ready. I took her dishes and put them in the dishwasher. Then I fed Cali and gave her some new water. Y/N came out in grey track pants and her Metallica sweater.
Joey: "Oh it's one of those days"
Y/N: "Yup it's my lazy day"
Joey: "Hold on I'll be right back"
I ran into our room and changed into grey track pants and a grey sweatshirt. I came out, Y/N looked at me and smiled.
Y/N: "Aww we're matching"
Joey: "Yup. Are we ready to go?"
Y/N: "Yup"
Y/N grabbed her things then went up to Cali and kissed the top of her head. I grabbed the keys and let Y/N go first, then I shut the door behind me. We drove to the warehouse. We ended up getting there early. Me and Y/N just fooled around and had Nerf battles. I made her hide and I had to look for her.
Joey: "Y/N. Come out come out where ever you are"
I heard some noises behind me but before I could turn around Y/N jumped on my back.
Y/N: "Gotcha"
She kissed my cheek. I set her down and turned towards her and put my arms around her waist. I put my head on her forehead. We were looking deep into each other's eyes. I was just about to kiss her when Matthias walked through the warehouse door.
Matt: "Aww look at the two love birds"
I shook my head at him. We cleaned up the bullets and put away the Nerf guns. We head upstairs to start getting work done.

Y/N's POV
While I was working Mike came upstairs and played some music. Out of nowhere Joey got out of his chair and started dancing. I was watching him, sitting there trying not to laugh at his goofy moves. Joey then came over to me.
Joey: "Come dance with me"
Y/N: "Nah I'm good"
Joey grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the chair. He made me dance with him. We both were laughing so hard at each other we could barely catch our breath. Once the music was over we went back to work. Joey sat down in his chair.
Joey: "Nice moves"
He said while chuckling.
Y/N: "You too"
I went back to editing and just like that, the day ended. Me and Joey went home. As soon as we got home I set all of my things down. Joey came up to me.
Joey: "I'm going to go take Cali for a walk. Do you want to come?"
Y/N: "I'm going to stay home and make dinner"
Joey: "Ok then I'll see you later"
Y/N: "Ok be safe"
Joey: "I will"
Joey left and I went to the kitchen to start making food. I started to pull things out of the fridge. I heard the door open again.
Y/N: "Well that was quick"
I turned around but not to see Joey....

but to see Mark.
Y/N: "Mark what are you doing here?"
Mark: "I'm here to get you back"
Y/N: "Aren't you dating Amy?"
Mark: "No, we broke up. Y/N I really want you back"
Y/N: "Mark you really think I want to date you? You cheated on me and plus I'm dating Joey"
Mark walked closer to me.
Mark: "I don't care about Joey. I WANT YOU"
Y/N: "Mark No. There's no way in hell I'm dating you"
Mark then grabbed my sweater and pinned me up against the wall. I was frightened and tried to fight back but he was much stronger than me. He moved his face closer to mine as if he were to kiss me. I couldn't move my head away because it was already up against the wall. I quickly thought of a way to get his face away from me. I spat in his face. I immediately regretted that. Mark threw me on the ground.
Mark: "What was with the smashed photos of me and you and my room being when I got back. Didn't you want those as the beautiful memories we had together? Oh those were the days"
I looked right into his eyes and they turned a shade darker, almost black. I tried to back away but my body hurt from being thrown on the ground so hard.
Mark: "Now that Joey's not here to protect you. You listen to me UNDERSTAND"
I just sat there and gulped. He looked at me for a split second then kicked me in the stomach.
I curled up into a ball, he repeatedly kicked me then he grabbed my sweater again and slammed me into the wall.
Mark: "Listen to me bitch"
I looked away from him. I didn't want to make eye contact with him. He then slapped me in the face, I felt my face heat up where he slapped me. My head was facing the other way. He moved my face to look at him. Then leaned in to try and kiss me again. I squirmed
Y/N: "Get the fuck off of me you psycho"
I punched him in the face. I tried to run away from him but he caught me quickly turned me around and punched me in the face multiple times. Once in the nose and once I'm my eye. I felt the blood trickle down my face and my eye began to swell. This was the second time he had made my nose bleed. I sat there holding my nose.
Y/N: "Mark can't you leave me alone?"
Mark: "No not until I have you in my arms"
It was getting hard for me to breath. I propped myself up against the counter. Just as I did that the door opened. Joey looked at me in shock then looked at Mark. Joey's face immediately turned from concern to anger. He let go of the leash, Cali ran over to me and Joey walked up to Mark and punched him in the face.
Joey: "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO MY GIRLFRIEND?"
Mark was on the floor. He quickly got up and tackled Joey. They were both on the floor fighting. I wanted to get up and stop them but I could barely get myself up. I decided the call the cops. I told them our address. They said they would send someone over to our apartment. Mark got a few hits in but Joey basically finished Mark off. Joey grabbed Mark by his coat and dragged him out of our apartment.
Joey: "GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR HOUSE AND DON'T EVER TOUCH MY GIRLFRIEND AGAIN OR SO HELP ME GOD I WILL ACTUALLY BEAT YOUR FACE IN"
Joey slammed the door and locked it. He ran over to me I was so close to just passing out. I was having a panic attack and I was trying to hold back the tears but I just burst out crying. Joey gently put me on his lap.
Joey: "Y/N it's ok I'm here. Breath. Breath"
Joey gently hugged me. He didn't want to hurt me. I cried for about 10 minutes straight and Joey was rubbing my back through every second of it. I finally calmed down.
Joey: "Y/N I'm so sorry I left you alone"
Y/N: "It's ok, you didn't know it was going to happen"
Joey: "I wish I could have been here. If I was here you wouldn't be like this. One of the few times I leave you alone something really bad happens"
Y/N: "Joey it's ok. You saved my life if you hadn't come I would have been in way worse condition"
Joey looked at me with tears in his eyes.
Y/N: Awww Hun please don't cry. I love you so much and I owe you the world right now"
Joey: "I love you too Y/N. You have no idea how much I love you"
Joey just kept holding me we sat there for another a few minutes. Cali came to sit with us. There was knock on the door.
Joey: "I'll go get it"

Joey's POV
I answered the door and the police officer greeted me. I saw Mark handcuffed in the parking lot talking to another police officer. 
Officer: "Can I come in?"
Joey: "Yeah of course" 
The officer walked over to Y/N, who was still leaned up against the counter. She managed to stand herself up. She talked to the cop while he asked her questions. After he was done talking to her he came over to ask me few questions. Once the cop was finished talking to me he suggested that we move so he can't come back and do this again. He cop said goodbye and left. I walked over to Y/N and gave her a gentle hug. 
Joey: "We should go get you cleaned up"

Y/N's POV
Joey carefully lifted me up and carried me to the bathroom. He gently sat me down on the toilet. I noticed that I had gotten blood on his sweater. I looked at his sweater.
Y/N: "I got blood on your sweater"
Joey: "It's ok Y/N. We have more important things to worry about. Like me taking care of you"
Joey wiped off my face with a wet cloth. Then went over to the bathtub a turned the water on.
Joey: "Can you stand up for me baby?"
Y/N: "Yeah"
Joey: "Ok now put your arms up"
Joey took off my sweater then my track pants. I took off my bra and my underwear. He then made sure I got into the bath safely.
Joey: "Ok if you need anything just call me ok?"
Y/N: "Wait Joey can you stay here please?"
Joey: "Yeah of course. I'm just going to out some towels for you"
Y/N: "And you"
Joey: "You want me to come in with you?"
Y/N: "Yeah"
Joey: "Alright"
I sat back and rested my head on the back of the bathtub while Joey went to get the towels. Joey took his clothes off and got in with me. We sat there just relaxing together. I closed my eyes and inhaled and exhaled to calmed myself down a little more. Joey leaned over and kissed me.
Joey: "I love you Y/N"
Y/N: "I love you too Joe Fish"
Joey smiled at me.
Joey: "Should we order take out?"
Y/N: "Yeah and can we watch hockey?"
Joey: "Yeah of course angel. If it will help you relax and be comfortable"
Y/N: "Yeah hockey is my comfort it reminds of home. Since Montreal is a hockey crazy city"
Joey: "So that's why you like the Canadiens"
Y/N: "Yeah duh"
Me and Joey both laughed.
Joey: "So how are they doing?"
Y/N: "They've won most of their games but lost some" I got into a very passionate conversation about hockey, I didn't even realize that we had already been in the tub half an hour. We decided to get out. We both got dried ourselves off and got changed into our pajamas. Of course, Joey helped me do all of that stuff. Joey ordered take out. I went to our room and grabbed blankets. I sat on the couch and waited for Joey to be done on the phone. Once he was done on the phone, he came and sat beside me. I put the blankets over top of us and we cuddled until our food came here. Once the food came, hockey started so we watched hockey together and ate. I laid down on Joey's lap. I didn't remember falling asleep.

Joey POV
Once we were finished eating. Y/N was up for a for the first and second period but fell asleep before the third. I watched the third period and then shut off the TV. I slowly lifted her up and carried her to bed. While I was walking to our room she woke up.
Y/N: "Did they win?"
I chuckled at her. 
Joey: "Yeah"
Y/N sleepily smiled then fell back asleep. I set her down softly on the bed. I covered her up and got into bed. I cuddled up to Y/N. I couldn't fall asleep though. I didn't understand how Mark found out where we lived. Maybe Matt told him or something but I don't know. I quietly got up and lock the front door and the balcony door. I got back into bed and cuddled back up with Y/N. I still couldn't fall asleep so I just laid there. I have to protect Y/N, I don't think she's even comfortable in our apartment anymore. We might have to move again. Cali jumped up and laid down at Y/N's feet. I still couldn't fall asleep but eventually, I got lost in my thoughts and fell asleep.
