24. Getting Ready For Christmas

Y/N's POV
I woke up realizing there were only a few weeks left until Christmas. I still needed to get everyone presents. I looked over to where Joey was. He was bundled up in blankets with his lips slightly parted, letting out light snores. Cali was sleeping right beside him.  He looked so peaceful. I leaned over and gave Joey a kiss on the cheek and Cali a kiss on the top of her head. I quietly got out of bed and went downstairs. I began to make breakfast for the both of us. I walked over to Cali's bowl and filled it with new food and water. Cali came running out from our room and downstairs to her bowl. I continued to make our breakfast. When I was finished I put Joey's breakfast in the toaster to keep it warm. I grabbed my breakfast and sat on the couch. I turned on the tv to watch the highlights from the hockey game that I missed last night. Once I was finished breakfast, I went to our room to check if Joey was up yet. When I walked in the doorway I saw Joey throwing on a shirt on.
Y/N: "Good morning Hun"
Joey turned around to look at me.
Joey: "Good morning angel"
He said while smiling at me. He walked up to me and gave me a warm hug and a peck on the lips.
Y/N: "Breakfast is in the toaster"
Joey: "Ok thank you"
Joey walked out of our room and downstairs to the kitchen. I closed the door behind him. I went into the bathroom and got into the shower. When I was finished, I quickly got changed and rushed downstairs because we were almost late for work. Joey was already in the car, I kissed Cali on her head and shut the door. I got into the car and went to work.

Joey's POV
When we walked into the warehouse Matt was organizing some things.
Y/N: "I can do that Matt. That's what I'm hired for"
Matt: "Alright"
Y/N went to organizing. I walked up to my office and Matt was following me. I turned around to face him.
Joey: "What's up?"
Matt: "I wanted to ask you what happened last night"
I closed the door behind Matt and sat down in my office chair. I invited Matt to sit on my couch.
I explained what happened. Matt was shocked.
Matt: "Wow. Is she ok?"
Joey: "Yeah. We made up at your house so we are all good now"
Matt: "That's good. I'm glad you guys made up. You guys are a cute couple and I've noticed that she makes you happy"
Joey: "She really does. I don't know what I would do without her"
Matt gave a small smile.
Matt: "Well I should get to work"
Joey: "Ok"
Matt: "If you need anything, I'm your bro. Literally"
I chuckled at Matt comment.
Joey: "Thanks, Matt"
Matt left the room and I went to work.

Y/N's POV
While I was organizing the things in the warehouse, the door opened I didn't look to see who it was. I was busy putting things into a box.
Unknown: "Hey Y/N"
I turned around to see who it was. It was Gunner.
Y/N: "Oh hey Gunner"
Gunner: "What's up?"
Y/N: "Oh I'm just organizing things"
Gunner: "Do you want some help?"
Y/N: "Yeah sure"
Gunner got on his knees and started to put things into the box. I was placing some things in the box and Gunner brushed his hand against mine. I didn't think much of it. When we were finished putting stuff away. I was about to lift up the box so I could move it the storage room but Gunner stopped me.
Gunner: "Y/N I'll take that"
Y/N: "No it's ok Gunner I can carry it"
Gunner: "Y/N you obviously hurt your hand. Let me take it"
Y/N: "Ok fine"
Gunner took the box and moved it to the storage room. I plopped down on the giant beanbag we had in the warehouse. Gunner came over and chuckled at me.
Gunner: "You tired?"
Y/N: "Yeah at little. I had a rough night last night"
Gunner: "How come?"
Gunner sat down on the beanbag beside me.
Y/N: "Me and Joey got in a little argument"
Gunner: "Oh really?!?"
Y/N: "Yeah but don't worry about it. We are ok now"
Gunner: "Oh ok"
I laid there with my eyes shut for a few minutes. When I opened my eyes I looked over at Gunner and saw that he was staring at me.
Gunner: "Sorry I kind of zoned out"
Y/N: "That's ok"
He smiled at me and I smiled back. Then out of nowhere Gunner started to tickle me. I started laughing uncontrollably.

Joey's POV
I walked out of my office to go downstairs to check on Y/N. I stopped before I opened the door I could Y/N giggling. I opened the door to the warehouse and saw Gunner on top of Y/N. I went over to where they were, grabbed Gunner by his shirt and pinned him up against the wall.
Joey: "What were you doing with my girlfriend?"

Y/N's POV
Joey had Gunner pinned up against the wall. I was so shocked I sat there for a second then realized what was going on. I quickly got up and ran over to where Joey and Gunner were.
Y/N: "JOEY PUT HIM DOWN"
Joey let go of Gunner. Gunner stumbled to his feet. Joey looked at me then walked out of the warehouse.
Y/N: "Are you ok Gunner?"
Gunner: "Yeah I'm fine"
He said looking at me a little scared.
Y/N: "I'm so sorry about that he usually doesn't act like that"
Gunner: "It's alright. He probably still fired up about Mark"
Y/N: "Still I'm really sorry"
I gave Gunner a hug. We stood there for a little bit. Gunner started to move his hands down to my waist. I pulled away
Y/N: "I've gotta go check on Joey. I'll see you later"
Gunner: "Alright bye"
I left the warehouse and walked into Joey's office. Joey was sitting on his couch, I sat down at my desk then turned my chair around to face Joey.
Y/N: "What has gotten into you lately?"
Joey: "I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt him or anything"
Y/N: "Well you didn't hurt him you scared him"
Joey: "Oh..."
I got up from my chair. I walked over to Joey and sat beside him.
I leaned up against him and rested my head on his chest. I looked up at him.
Y/N: "Was somebody jealous?"
Joey: "No..."
I raised an eyebrow and stared at him.
Joey: "Ok maybe a little... Y/N you understand, I care about you a lot and you mean the world to me"
Y/N: "I understand Joey but you didn't have to freak out about that. You scared the shit out of him"
Joey: "I know and I'm sorry, it was just a protector thing. I feel the need to start protecting you after what with you know who"
Y/N: "Joey don't be uptight and I appreciate you protecting me but you don't have to worry about Gunner. Gunner is your friend, alright? You need to relax. Just know that I'm all yours. Ok?"
Joey: "Alright"
Y/N: "Now should we get to work?"
Joey: "I guess so"
Me and Joey went to our desk and started to do some work.

Once a few hours went by it was around 12:00. I decided I would take a little break.
Y/N: "I'm gonna take a break"
Joey: "Alright"
I left Joey's office and went to go see Matt.
Y/N: "Hey Matt"
Matt: "Hey what's up?"
Y/N: "Would you mind if I bought Christmas decorations for the office?"
Matt: "No not at all"
Y/N: "Ok I'm going to get them now"
Matt: "Alright"
I walked out of Matt office and back into Joey's.
Y/N: "Hey Joey I'm going out for a bit so do you want anything for lunch?"
Joey: "No it's ok and where are you going?"
Y/N: "Just to get decorations and get lunch"
Joey: "Oh ok"
I walked over to Joey and kissed his cheek.
Y/N: "I'll see you later"
Joey: "Ok drive safe"
Y/N: "I will"
I walked out of Joey's office and walked downstairs to Joey's car. I got in the car and drove to Lowes to get Christmas decorations and a Christmas tree for the front of the office. I then went to Michaels to get little things like wreaths, miniature Christmas trees for everyone's office, ornaments, and I got a little special something for Joey. I also got everyone their Christmas presents and put them in the trunk. I went to Tim Hortons to grab lunch and then head back to the warehouse. When I arrived at the warehouse, I grabbed the stuff from the trunk except for the presents. I walked in the doorway and the boys were in the middle of a Nerf battle. Joey yelled
Joey: "Time out!"
Y/N: "Thanks, guys"
I walked through the middle of it and walked up to Joey's office. I set up his little Christmas tree on his desk, put the lights on it and then put ornaments on. Then hung a mistletoe above his desk. As I was putting the wreath on the door to his office, he came up behind me and lifted me up and spun me around. He set me back down.
Joey: "Hey baby what are you up to?"
Y/N: "Just decorating your office"
Joey: "Can I go in?"
Y/N: "Yup but in a sec"
I finished putting up the wreath and opened the door for Joey to go in. Joey walked into his office.
Joey: "Wow. It's so Christmassy in here"
I chuckled
Y/N: "That's what I was going for"
Joey sat down at his desk.
Y/N: "Um Joey"
Joey spun his chair around to face me. I pointed at the mistletoe, he looked at it then back at me. Joey got up from his chair and walked up to me. He gently grabbed the side of my face with his big warm hands and kissed me softly. We stood there for a few seconds then pulled away. Joey moved his hands to my lower back. We both smiled at each other.
Joey: "I look forward to doing that every day"
Y/N: "But that rule only applies to us"
Joey: "Yeah I'm not kissing anyone else"
We both laughed. Joey hugged me tightly.
Joey: "I know I say this a lot but I love you so much"
Y/N: "I love you too Joey"
I gave him a peck on the lips.
Y/N: "What are the other guys up to?"
Joey: "Oh nothin just went back to working and having a little meeting"
Y/N: "Oh well I have to finish decorating the offices and stuff"
Joey: "Ok"
Joey sat down at his desk and I grabbed the rest of the stuff to decorate the offices.

Once I was finished decorating, it was the end of the day. Me and Joey got into the car and drove home. When we got home I made dinner and me and Joey watched a basketball game together. We both ended up going to bed pretty late.
