Chapter 14

"I've got an idea!!!!"

"Eva we are not starting an edible make up business."

"Awwww whatever that's not my idea."

"What you thinking?"

"What if we lead Skye to every place that has a meaning to us?"

"That is insan-"

"What she might be on to something."

"Maybe if she saw all those places then her memories would come back."

"There's one problem."

"What?"

"How are we meant to get her away from Kirsty?"

"Kirsty will never let her go with us."

"Then I guess we use our magic."

The next day at school, Skylar and Kirsty had separate lessons. Before Skylar entered the class room, she saw something that caught her eye.  Leaves were covering the floor leading her to the school doors. She looked back at her classroom but decided to follow the trail with a smile on her face. The leaves suddenly stopped at a river in the middle of the forest.

Thunder clouds appeared and it started to rain. Skylar was confused until she looked down at the river. 

"The water pulled me down. I thought I would drown but I got up from the water. I believed it was a dream."

She ran to another spot.

"I was rugby tackled here after I ran away from someone. I was crying but I felt safe when I was being hugged."

She smelt smoke and followed the scent. 

"This is where the cloaks first attacked and I heard that voice. Believe."

She was remembering everything except for her friends.

"The green ring for Earth. The rainbow one for air. Red for fire and......"

She looked down at her own hand. 

"Blue for water."

Images from her first training came to her mind. The water and her fear of it. She left the forest and went to the bus stop.

"I pinned someone's hand behind their back here. I recognise a face but how are they??!"

Suddenly she ran to her old house and entered.

"There were so many pillows and blanket."

Her smile turned to a frown.

"That day we found out someone had a secret."

She closed her eyes and realised "Austin..."

"But I was alone with someone and we talked until we fell asleep as well. Who were they?"

By now Skylar was walking all over the place and ended up where the others were kidnapped, this lead her to the house where she had been living. She reached for the scar on her forehead and remembered when she was pushed while trying to help the others. She started to cry.

"Skylar?"

"I remember everything Eva."

"You do?"

"Well mostly everything. One thing that keeps replaying in my mind is the day Glozine died. Kirsty was right. None of you were there."

Eva was shocked by what she had said. That's when she noticed something. Instead of blue streaks in Skylar's hair, it was now white, like snow. 

"What's happened to you?"

"Everything. The real battle is coming and you won't be able to stop Kirsty."

She then disappeared, leaving Eva alone.
