Aliyahs POV;

I fluttered open my eyes, yawning as I was welcomed by the bright sun glazing into my room. I groaned as I reluctantly sat up, heading towards the window and shutting the blinds.

I headed towards my cupboard, grabbing the first outfit I saw which ended up being a red and black flannel with black ripped jeans with a pair of Vans.

After I'd finished doing my morning routine, I headed downstairs into the kitchen. Luckily today's Saturday, so I have the next 2 days to relax without having to wake up early for school. I reached the bottom of the stairs, beginning to head towards the kitchen. However, I stopped in my steps as I noticed a tall figure stood in the kitchen, going through the fridge.

I rose an eyebrow as I strolled into the kitchen, collapsing on one of the stools. Leondre turned around at hearing my presence, a playful smirk spread across his face, his light brown hair flopping over his eyes.

"Afternoon." He chirped, grabbing a can of Pepsi before closing the fridge, sitting on the stool opposite me, opening the can. I rose an eyebrow, droopily grabbing the can of Pepsi out of his hands and swigging some of it down to erase the dryness that's filling my mouth. I placed it back on the table, sliding it towards him. Leo huffed, rolling his eyes.

"Afternoon?" I questioned, frowning as I nibbled on the bottom of my lip, the Pepsi helping me to begin waking up. Leo chuckled, rolling his eyes in an amused manner.

"Yeah, cute lil princess. It's 1. And I have good news to tell you!" He grinned, standing up and heading towards my cupboards again. He grabbed a wafer, before re-sitting down, a proud smirk wiped across his face.

"What are you doing here?" I muttered, resting my elbows on the table and resting my chin on my hands. Leo held up a key, an evil glint in his eye,

"Your Mum loves me," he sung, laughing at my non-amused expression. He took a massive chunk out of the wafer, slipping the spare house key back into his pocket.

"Jeez." I muttered, a deeper frown etching across my face. "I swear she'd even trust you with a gun." I muttered, a bit of amusement filling me.

"Aw, cheer up my cute lil princess." Leo grinned, his joy spreading through the room like confetti.

"Someone's in a good mood today. Care to explain?" I questioned, yawning as I gazed at Leo, his chocolatey eyes boring into mine.

"Well..." Leo began, his voice filled with amusement, "as my Mum thinks it's more suitable for everyone. I'll be closer to you. You'll be able to come over whenever you want so you won't be alone. It's closer to school. It's more suitable and slightly cheaper to live here." Leo exclaimed, his eyes filled with pure excitement, his lips formed into a small smile. I frowned, fright overtaking me at his next few words.

"I'll be moving in next door." He announced, his body straightening up as he examined how I'd react. My jaw dropped as I gazed at him in pure horror and disbelief. What?!

"What?!" I spat, seeking for some sign of lie, but truthfulness filled his eyes.

"Yep, princess. I'm moving in next door on Monday. In fact - I'll be in the room right beside your window!" He joyfully announced, his eyes lighting up in happiness.

I groaned, placing my head on the table,

"God, please, tell me how this day could get much worse!" I cried out in an exaggerated way, staring at the ceiling. Leo's laughs echoed the room, his head tilting back, his eyes closed as he endlessly laughed. I frowned as I stared at him, taking in the few seconds to treasure how magnificent he looks.

The way his warm brown eyes were closed, his lips curved into a wide smile as his teeth glimmered. His soft brown hair falling over his eyes as his head tilted back, his face filled with carefree and happiness. The way his laughs filled the room, filling the room with harmony and joy.

I huffed, snapping out of my trance as I glared at him. His laughs abruptly stopped, his eyes opened, noticing my foul expression, frowning slightly.

"Why, my cute lil princess, I thought you'd be happy to live next door to your knight in shining armour!" He gasped, placing his hand over his heart as if he were hurt by the blunt way I took his announcement. I rolled my eyes,

"Maybe I'm not." I challenged, a small smirk making its way onto my face.

Who said I can't challenge him
at his own game?

Leo rose an eyebrow, his eyes squinting slightly as he examined me. I kept my face straight, giving no emotions. My lips were formed into a straight line, my eyes boring into his without emotion.

The small smirk came back onto his face after a few seconds of our stare down, his eyebrow risen in amusement.

"Why, princess, most girls would be dying to live next door to me." He shrugged, lazily resting back in the stool as he kept his eyes focused on me.

"I'm not most girls, am I Devries?" I rose an eyebrow, a smirk forming on my face as I continued to challenge him.

"No, maybe not, my cute lil princess." He mumbled, however loud enough for me to hear.

I bit my lip nervously at his choice of words, a fuzzy feeling entering my stomach as we stared at each other in anticipation.

"Why are you here?" I asked after a few seconds, the question bugging me since I saw him in the kitchen. Leo's smirk dropped, a frown making its way onto his face as he peered down at the table. He inhaled a deep breath, closing his eyes for a few seconds before re-opening them, locking his eyes with mine as he began to speak.

"I didn't know what our position was like after yesterday." He announced, his voice firm and getting straight to the point. "Also because I wanted to make sure you were okay," he added in, his cheeks tinted a slight colour of red.

I awed, a warm smile making it's way onto my face,

"Who knew the bad boy can blush?" I grinned, amusement now filling my eyes. He huffed, nervously biting his lip as he began to stand up.

"Not me, cute lil princess." He finished, before strolling out of the room, not glancing back at me. I frowned slightly, raising an eyebrow.

"Where are you heading?" I called out, curiosity flooding through me. Leo stopped in his tracks, swiftly turning around to face me as a glint of humour filled his eyes,

"I'm off to pack, princess. Unless you want to help me pack?" He rose an eyebrow, a playful smirk melting across his face.

I sighed, shrugging as I frowned slightly,

"I have nothing better to do all day apart from watch chick flicks. So I guess, why not?" I grinned, following Leo out of the door.

Leo's eyebrows rose in amusement as he placed his hand on the small of my back, leading me out of my house.

"Okay then, my cute lil princess." He replied. My heart leaped out of my lungs as his hand gently placed on my back, a blush warning onto my cheeks.

"Who knew that princesses blush?" Leo mimicked, a proud expression wiping across his face. I rolled my eyes, feeling my blush deepen as I glared at him,

"Whatever, Devries." I muttered, heading out of my house, Leo locking the door behind us.
