I laughed as I sat on sat on Sam's bed, watching him speak to his dog. "All right, Mojo. I got the car. Now I need the girl. I need money to take out the girl is what I need. Zero bids. Great. Broke." He sighed, "come on, Mojo. You want your pain pills? Uh... No. Premature. Good. What's up? Nothing. You know, just driving my car. Driving my car. It's like clockwork. All right, I know you get wasted on these things, but if you piss in my bed again, you're sleeping outside. Okay? That's it for today. No more. Crackhead," Sam babbled on.
"Hey if you want to actually have a chance with Mikaela then you should probably get out of the house." I smirked as he face palmed, before dragging me downstairs.

I walked outside first, only to hear the strange conversation Ron and Judy were having, "Ron, this one is uneven." Judy complained stepping on one of the paving slabs he'd just laid for 'his' path. "Yeah. Probably." Came Ron's sarcastic reply.
"This one is wobbly." Judy kept complaining.
"Yeah. I'll take care of that real soon." Ron didn't even look up.
"Couldn't we have hired a professional?" Judy questioned, just as Sam joined me, dragging me towards Bee. "Ah, Lexie, Sam..." Ron complained.
"What?" I asked.
"I do not like footprints on my grass." Ron explained.
"What foot- there's no footprints." Sam replied.
"That's why I built my path. So why don't you go from my grass onto my path, okay?" Ron continued.
"It's family grass, Dad." Sam argued.
"Well, when you own your own grass, you'll understand." Ron finally finished.
"This, this, I can't do it anymore." Sam said pointing at Mojo, who had now gained a necklace. "What?" Judy questioned.
"You're putting girl jewellery on a boy dog, that was my necklace. He's got enough self-esteem issues as a Chihuahua, Judy." I answered, looking at my now, never to use again necklace.
"That's his bling, besides, you only ever wear a necklace with whatever logo that is...I want you home at eleven o'clock!" She shouted as we walked off.
"Yeah, all right." Sam called back as we got in the car. As we drove of I heard the words,  "Wow. You are so cheap." Come from Judy and Ron's reply of,  "Well, it's his first car. It's supposed to be like that."

Over in the Middle East

"I've never seen a weapons system like this. The thermal shows this weird aura around the exoskeleton like it's cloaked by some kind of invisible force field." Epps stated looking at the picture he took of the recent invader.
"That's impossible. There's no such thing as invisible force fields except in, like, comic book stuff, right?" Donnelley half stated half questioned.
"Man, I don't know." Figureoa replied, Lennox looked over at him
"What is that?"
"My mama, she had the gift, you know? She saw things. I got the gene, too, you know. And that thing that attacked us? I got a feeling it ain't over." Figureoa went on.
"How about you use those magic voodoo powers and get us the hell out of here, huh?" Donnelley suggested.
"When I took that picture, I think it saw me. It looked right at me." Epps thought back to the moment at base.
"All right, we got to get this thing back to the Pentagon right away. They got to know what we're dealing with here." Epps threw his radio to the ground in frustration "My radio's fried. I got no communication with aerial." Then Lennox knelt down next to the boy that followed close. "Hey, Mahfouz? You know, how far do you live from here?"
"Not far. Just up that mountain." Mahfouz replied pointing in the right direction.
"Do they have a phone?" Lennox asked. Mahfouz nodded."All right, let's hit it." Lennox ordered, leading the group away.

Lexie's POV
We finally arrived at the lake and I had been kicked into the back as Sam demanded he have his best mate, Miles, sit in the front with him. "Dude, are you sure we're invited to this party?" Miles asked. I shook my head at how dumb he was, "of course, Miles. It's a lake. Public property." We pulled up, and the 'cool' kids came into sight. "Oh, my God. Oh, my God, guys, Mikaela's here. Just don't do anything weird, all right? I'm good, right?" Sam asked turning to me.
"Yeah, you're good." I responded.
"Okay." Sam took a deep breath, walking over to the others. I followed, but not too close, "Hey, guys, check it out. Oh, hi. Hey, bro. That car. It's nice. Hey. So, what are you guys doing here?" Trent asked, as Miles climbed the tree.
"Get down," I whispered, he shook his head and I glared at him.
"We're here to climb this tree." Sam replied, slightly annoyed, tapping the tree.
"I see that. It looks- It looks fun." Trent mocked, Miles grunted.
"Yeah." Sam sighed, attempting to hide his defeat.
"You know, I thought I recognized you. You tried out for the football team last year, right?" Trent questioned, oh great here comes Sam's stupid response.
"Oh, no, no, no, that- No. That wasn't like a... real tryout. I was researching a book I was writing." Sam told him.
"Oh, yeah?" Trent laughed.
"Yeah. He was," I spoke up, trying to help Sam not look stupid, or less at least.
"Yeah? What's it about? Sucking at sports?" Trent mocked and I hid a laugh.
"Haha. No, it's about the link between brain damage and football. No, it's a- it's a good book." Sam started, before I cut in, pretty pissed off.
"Your friends'll love it. You know, it's got mazes in it and, you know, little coloring areas, sections, pop-up pictures. It's a lot of fun." I smirked, as Trent was surprised by my sudden outburst.
"That's funny." He shuffled closer to us.
"Okay, okay. You know what? Stop." Mikaela pushed Trent back, and I smiled at her.
"Hey, guys, I know of a party. Let's go, let's head." Trent ordered his group.
