The night went by fast, I spent it curled up with Bee, too upset to face Optimus after our small argument. Now, I was flying above Bee, Cade and Shane, cloaked to the human eye as I waited for them to gain access to KSI. The guards walked over, scanning their ID cards, checking the car as they went, before nodding them through. I floated above, following them through to a room, where a bright pink robot stood, it's alt form below.
"We took old, alien technology and made it better in every way. Introducing Stinger. KSI. We make the world." I glanced at the screen as the woman spoke, before removing my cloak and joining them on the ground. "That is a bad-ass robot." Shane looked up at pit from his seat.
"He kind of looks like you, Bee." Cade commented, getting out as the screen continued to talk. "They're trying to build their own versions."
"Well, at least they're picking cooler cars than this." Shane responded to Cade, causing Bee to hit him with his wheel, pinning him to the seat. "You talk to me like that?" He snapped through the radio.
"Bee, stop!" Shane shouted. Cade turned back around, looking in at him through the window with a smirk, "you see what happens from being a wiseass?" He mocked.
"Bee, that's enough, I think he learnt his lesson, for now." I said, tapping the hood as he let him go, opening up the door.
"Now get out of here." He demanded, Shane stumbling out.
"Stinger, inspired by Bumblebee, but better in every way." The woman smiled from the screen, and I scoffed.
"What? Son of a...!" Bee began doing donuts in anger, and I jumped out of the way.
"No, no! You gotta calm down!" Cade pleaded, moving back to avoid being hit.
"He's crazy!" Shane threw his hands up, watching the spinning bot ahead. "Stop! Bumblebee! Bee, stop going psycho! Lexie, do something!" That's when I heard people entering the corridor.
"Bee, calm down, now. You have every right to be pissed, I am too, but you need to stop." I let out a sigh of relief as I ran my hand over his roof, keeping him still.
"Hey! Hey, you three! Grease monkeys." We all froze as Joshua Joyce walked over to us from the opposite side of the room. "What the hell is going on here?" He questioned, Cade instantly turned to face him. "What's with this vintage crap? We're not scanning collector car junk. What do you think it is that we make here? Hmm? We make poetry. We're poets. Alright? You work for me, you get one mistake. One. Understood?"
"Yeah. It won't happen again." Cade nodded, and Joyce glared at him.
"It certainly won't. So let's get this pathetic thing out of here. And you, too. Hey, that's not company uniform, black, not whatever blue that is." He added on, looking back at me, before turning back to the group he was leading around. I rolled my eyes, folding my arms as he walked away. How dare he call an autobot pathetic, if only he knew. Cade turned to Shane, "watch them, she's got a Prime's temper. I'm going to see what I can find. Quietly get out of here." Cade said, before walking away from us.
As soon as the group left, Bee transformed, and I flew up to his shoulder. "Bee, no. Lexie, you gotta calm him down right now." Shane stated, watching us.
"I'm perfectly calm, dude." Bee responded.
"You gotta breathe, or just do whatever it is that you do." Shane continued, as Bee stepped forwards, leaning to look at 'Stinger'.
"I'm calm. I'm calm. I'm not even touching it. Okay, I'm barely touching it." As he said this, he reached out a hand, pulling it closer by the neck. "I'm barely touching it."
"Turn back into a car right now!" Shane demanded.
"Hey! We don't take orders from you." I reminded, floating up as Bee turned around to watch the monitor.
"Our design team started with the Bumblebee." A KSI executive came onto the screen, soon replaced by a designer. "But really, this alien's design was decrepit and, let's face it, antique." He commented.
"What the...?" Bee looked at me, but my eyes were full of just as much anger.
"Don't take it personally, Bee. Lexie, you've got to do something." Shane looked at me once again, but I was watching too.
"Kind of old and ratty." The designer continued.
"You mean ugly." The executive laughed.
"I'm telling you, don't take it personally." Shane repeated. I looked down at him, "we're not, but imagine someone cloning you and saying you're ugly and antique, huh? Not so talkative now?!" I snapped, Bee turning in anger.
"Oh, hell, no!" He shouted, before lifting his foot and kicking Stinger down, "Yee-hah!" He cheered, before instantly transforming and I cloaked myself again.
