I sighed as we were walked down to yet another 'Transformer Awareness Assembly'. I was on my fifth school, having retreated to Texas, it being Optimus' last known location. He was injured badly, and now I knew he was in stasis lock, unable to wake up, and unable to help me find him. I was on my fifth school, and each was the same as the last. "Today is the monthly TAA."
"Be prepared for the upcoming TAA."
"TAA...." blah blah blah. They were all the same, "Autobots and Decepticons are one and the same. Dangerous, and violent."
If only they knew that their classmate was one of these supposed killers. Each time my face would pop up and be marked as the biggest threat, nobody knew I was right beside them."Alexa, hello?" I blinked, noticing Hayley waving her hand in front of my face.
"Yeah, Yeah, I'm coming." I responded, following her to sit down, ready for a random soldier to come give us a speech. What I wasn't ready for, was an old friend walking through the doors. "May I present, Mr. Seymour Simmons!" The head announced, and I froze. The crowd cheered, whilst I sunk lower, avoiding any chances I meet eyes with him, avoiding any chance of him outing me. Sure, we'd stayed in touch for the first year, he came to visit me at Epps' place and gave me money for the next few years. After that we'd lost touch, another one of Optimus' 'great ideas', but I couldn't stay angry at him for it, he was keeping me alive after all, and it's more than I could say for many of us. Ratchet had been lost just last night, so I had yet to tell the team. Without Optimus here, it had been up to me to lead, but without me there, I'd left Bee in charge. Of course, Crosshairs hated this, but I'd told him to put up with it, or he'd have to deal with me. He found it funny as I was small, but he knew I could beat him in either forms, human or metal."That takes me on to the girl. So, she is special, I'll give her that, she's strong, a born leader. In fact, I'm confused as to why she doesn't just end this all herself. If you think we can't get along with autobots anymore, she's proof we can. A transformer, born human, think about that. It's incredible!" I focused back on Simmons, and found he was talking about me. "Mr. Simmons." The head cut off his ranting, and I had to hold myself from running down and hugging him. "Right, I apologise. What I'm trying, or meant, to say, is that she's dangerous, if you see her, ring, and run. Just like if you saw a decepticon." Simmons mumbled 'meant' under his breath, but I heard it all. "Or an autobot, thank you, Seymour, it's time we left for classes." The room applauded, and we all departed, just as we were told. As I was about to leave, a teacher pulled me aside, beside her stood Simmons. "Alexa, could you show Mr. Simmons the way out? He has a fragile memory with all the wars, and I need to get to my class." I smiled, nodding politely, and looking at Simmons.
"Right this way, Sir." I gestured to the door, and he followed."So, you been at this school long, Lex?" I paused, looking around, before leading him out of a door to the back of the building. "How'd you know it was me?" I asked, turning back to him.
"I didn't, I gave 'Alexa' a nickname, you idiot. You just blew your cover." I folded my arms at his response, raising an eyebrow. "Okay, fine. I'd know those mixed up eyes anywhere, that's not human blue, that's autobot blue." He explained, before reaching forwards and tugging on the chain around my neck that held the autobot emblem. "After all this and you still wear it." He said in disbelief.
"It's our symbol, and I wear it with pride." I told him, and that's when I felt myself lose sight of him. My vision flickered, and I saw two men and a girl, in some kind of dark barn. "Hey, Hey, Hey! Galaxy girl." Simmons grabbed my shoulders, shaking me out of it as I met his eyes. "No. No, I know that look, what is it?"
"He's awake. I need to go, I have to go." I pulled away from his grip and he nodded.
"I know, be careful. I'll see you around!" I waved back to him as he called after me whilst I ran. I didn't care about school anymore, all I cared about was getting to that farm.I turned myself invisible, flying up and fast, making sure I flew faster than I'd ever been before it was too late. People were different now, they'd call the TRF without hesitation. "Calling all autobots, be ready to meet up on my signal, I have news." I sent the message, knowing they'd understand it could be anywhere from the hour, to days. I hoped it would have to be my last order for a meet-up, the duty belonging to Optimus as soon as I found him, and we returned to our limited group.
