Dawnstar, Amberpaw, and Foxtail padded through Lightningclan territory, looking for any sign of a patrol.
Hearing a rustling sound, the small group stopped and waited. Fernshade stepped through the undergrowth and towards the group.
“Why are you here?! Haven’t you caused enough trouble in our territory?!”
Dawnstar had to bite her tongue to keep herself from throwing an insult at the angry tom.
“We have come to ask Stormstar a question for her ears only.”
Fernshade hissed and flicked his ears.
“Fine, come with me.”
Dawnstar led the group after Fernshade and continued after him.

Dawnstar stood with her group, waiting for the dappled tom to return with Stormstar.
As she waited, Dawnstar noticed that Lightningclan looked very small and weak.
Is this a mistake? Asking a clan whose already been affected by these mange-pelts.
After reconsidering her options, Dawnstar watched Stormstar trot towards her.
“I hear that you would like to speak with me in private, come."
Dawnstar and her patrol followed the grey she-cat into her den.
“Okay, so what is this all about Dawnstar?”
“The group that attacked you, they are known as the Rogues. Last night, they kidnapped Amberpaw and forced me to seek them out. I got her back but not before one of them injured me,”
Dawnstar explained, showing Stormstar the cobwebs plastered to her flank.
“I am asking Breezestar and Clearstar the same question I am about to ask you. Can you provide Fireclan with warriors for the attack on their camp?”
Stormstar nodded without a second thought.
“Of course, I want these rogues out and gone for good.”
Dawnstar winced, remembering who she saw in the Rogue’s camp.
“Flare and Midna were there. They are the only surviving Ghosts and have joined the Rogues.”
Stormstar hissed and unsheathed her claws. Dawnstar smiled and began walking out of the den.
Stopping, she turned her head to the side so she could barely see Stormstar.
“How many warriors?”
“All of them, as well as me and Fernshade.”
Dawnstar nodded and led her group out of the Lightningclan camp and back to the Fireclan camp.

Dawnstar lifted her head, hearing the other patrols returning.
“So? What did Breezestar and Clearstar say?”
Thornpetal stepped forward, a look of guilt written across her face.
“Well, Breezestar said that he will support the attack with warriors, but demands something in return.”
Dawnstar hissed at the news but allowed Thornpetal to continue.
“He demands that we give him half of the prey we catch this coming Leafbare.”
Dawnstar clawed the ground angrily in thought.
“Fine, we need his warriors in the fight so we will do it. Who is he sending?”
“He’s sending over half of the clan, that should be a big help,” Thornpetal replied, flicking her tail nervously.
Frostfang stepped forward next.
“Clearstar said that he would be glad to rid the clans of these foxhearts. He’ll be sending over most of the clan. Oh and he’ll also be joining you.”
“Breezestar too!” Thornpetal added.
Dawnstar nodded and looked up at the fading sky.
“Stormstar agreed and is sending all of her warriors including herself and Fernshade. Thornpetal, Frostfang, run back to Breezestar and Clearstar and tell them to meet me at Four Stones for a meeting. I will discuss everything there.”
The two warriors nodded and pelted back into the forest.
“Feircefang, can you please tell Stormstar all that?”
The grey tabby tom nodded and rushed towards the border. Dawnstar sighed and looked over at her clan.
Oh Starclan, protect Fireclan while we fight. These aren’t normal rogues. Some of them have strange abilities that only Frostfang can match. Please Starclan, please protect the clans while we fight.
