Hi, everyone!

Here is my thought on this chapter.

Sometimes, stopping a person you care for from doing something that will hurt them or yourself is pointless.

Sometimes, you must set them free and let them learn for themselves. No matter how bad it hurts.

So, while you maul over that concept for a bit...

Think to yourself, should Liana stop him or just let him go?

Sorry, I had to get that out there!!!

Harley!" I cry, "It's not him that I want! I lo-"

He punches the wall, forcing my favorite memory to shatter across the floor.

 "I'm going to kill him!"

 "I'm going to kill him!"

"Harley!" I yell, "No, Harley! Stop!"

Harley looks at me with pure hatred and utter disgust. As I stand beside my bed, I shake with dreadful fear as I watch Harley stomp angrily out of the room. As he exits, he slams the palm of his large hand against the frame of the door. The salty tears upon my trembling skin dry immediately from the shock of his outburst.

Oh, no! I can't let him go! He must know the truth!

I run after him as fast as my feet will carry me. His long legs stride down the hallway, leaving me far behind in the distance. No matter how hard I attempt to catch up to him, he is too fast.

I call out to him and beg mercifully, "Harley! I-I need you to listen to me! Please, Harley! Pleeease, come back!"

Continuously, I scream over and over, but Harley never stops until he reaches the end of the stairwell. Finally, he turns around just once.

Oh! Thank God!

I stare into his soulless and empty eyes and stop dead in my tracks. My body is frozen solid. My heart stops pounding in my chest. The echoing of my labored breathing is the only sound I hear as Harley stares down towards the bottom of the stairwell.

Harley reaches deep into his pocket. The shape of his hand coiling around something large - something that starts to jingle...

My keys! Shit!

The sound of the car alarm beeps twice. Harley is letting me know he is not wasting time with such petty task as playing with a locked car door. Fear rises from the depth of my stomach and dangles dangerously inside my throat.
