CHIKLIT/ROMANCE
"BULL! You still love that useless prick!"
"Harley!" I cry, "It's not him that I want! I lo-"
He punches the wall, forcing my favorite memory to shatter across the floor, "I'm going to kill him!"
Haunted by her memories, Liana...
Thank you for hanging in there while Liana continues to share her past with you!
Man, for all these memories I wonder how long she stayed half dressed in her front yard lolololol!
I looked over at the boy as if to say, your done asshole.
I answered, "Because, I need a job and you need someone who is actually willing to work."
A grateful smile slid across his face. He answered eagerly, "You're hired."

"You can't do that!" The boy yelled angrily. "Do you even know this girl?" He questioned with accusation.
Mr. Rolland crossed his arms and listened to the useless boy. He replied, "No. No, I don't."
"Then, why would you hire her?" He said as he looked me up and down with disdain in his voice.
The man pressed his long finger upon his thin lips and answered, "Hmmm," He paced the floors several times slowly, never letting the impatient boy bother him a bit. He continued, "the interesting thing is Earl, I have known you all of your life since you were crawling around on the dirt." He lifted three fingers and said, "and I have known her for what...three minutes tops? "
He crossed his skinny arms and smiled the most genuine smile. He looked me over just once giving me the reassurance that everything was going to work out in my favor. He said, "Kind of strange. Somehow...somehow, I trust her more than I have I trusted you my entire life of knowing your sorry tail. Why do you think that is, Earl?"
The boy Earl had stomped his foot to the floor. He reminded me of a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. He yelled, "You have lost your marbles, old man!"
He shouted loudly, "What if she is a murderer? Huh! Did you ever think of that?"
He flapped his grungy arms around as if he was about to take flight. He continued on like a lunatic, "What if she just broke out of jail and just needed a place to hide? What if she is a part of that crazy gang we were watching on the news?"
Earl looked at me in disgust before he spat on the grease filled floor. He proceeded to look back towards Mr. Rolland with a wicked grin plastered on his face, "You are a useless old piece of shit. I could take over your store right now and plead you're not mentally capable enough to handle it."
He rubbed his chin with his grimy finger, "Matter of fact, yea! That is EXACTLY what I am going to do. Ha! I will be seeing you in the morning with some papers! Your days are washed up, you old fool!"
As I think back to that day, I remember the feeling oh too well. It was if part of me wanted to become this mad woman he was speaking of and take every single part of my life that I had suffered through and release my wrath upon him, but there was another part of me - a part that was thankfully still sensible enough to stay quiet for the time being.
