Chapter 15

Since only a few days remained to the exam, I tried my best to get everything that Linda was teaching me. By the end of all the teachings, I knew I could do it.
I had promised myself to pass in that subject. And I knew I would.
Justin also taught me during our free periods. Lately, we had been spending most time together which killed Selena.

She tried to get his attention but it seemed like he had eyes for another.
Justin didn't tell me what was bothering him. I persuaded him to but he didn't.

Right now, we're seated at our usual table during lunch.
"You frivolous girl! ", a voice shouts. I feel her pulling my hair. I felt like it's gonna be pulled out from my head.

" What  is wrong with you? ", I ask trying to pull her nasty fingers from my hair.

Justin quickly stands up and jumps at my side.
Selena immediately let's go of my hair. She pulls Justin and whispers something into his ear. His eyes widen in surprise and laughs looking at her.

" You're crazy ", he says.
" It's with you do that or you'll never have peace, especially this crazy witch. "
She leaves us bewildered, especially us girls. Justin takes his seat and I ask him" What did she say?"

" I'll tell you later ", he says and continues eating.
I can already guess what she said to him. I decide not to ask him anything and he will tell me when he feels like it.
We head to class after finishing our lunch.

I want to sit with Terrie today because she had never told me about the guy. I cannot remember what she said his name was.

I sit next to her because I don't want to do anything with Justin. "Terrie, who's the guy you were telling me about?", I ask.

I've noticed that lately she's been happy. I guess it's this guy.
"His name is Harry,he's really cool ", she tells me.
" Do you like him? "
" I think I like him, oh, Kate, think I am in love with him ", she tells me smiling widely.
I love to see her this happy.

We don't get to talk for long before the teacher comes in.
" Okay, class, sit with your partner ", the teacher says.
I can see Justin smiling while looking at me. He gestures Terrie to move and she glares at him.
" You can't escape me, partner ", he says.

I laugh sarcastically and listen to the teacher again. The teacher tells us that, we're to submit our project right away.

I thank God for having Justin as a partner because we finished our project on time.He also participated and was very cooperative about everything.

The other time we had a project,a guy called Troy had been my partner. I had to follow him everywhere to make sure that the project would be finished on time. I make my way to the front to hand in the work.
I could see Selena at the corner sending me death glares. I can't help wondering what her problem usually is.

The teacher accepts it saying that it's perfectly done. I go back to my seat. Justin and I high five each other because of our achievement.

"Why is Selena always on me and looking at us when we're together, huh? ", I ask him.
He doesn't say anything for a while just keep staring at me. I remember we're in class but I don't care. And then again everyone's making noise while submitting their work.
He clears his throat and he tells me.
" She is jealous. "
