Chapter 40

I was now happy with my life. I had a wonderful and loving boyfriend and that's all I could ask for. However, my friend Jane seemed to be so out of it. Everytime, I could catch her zoning out and daydreaming. I knew that something had to be wrong somewhere. I had tried to ask her the reason why but she wouldn't say anything. I watched her closely and realised she'd been looking at Justin far too long.

"Jane, what's the problem? "I ask her.

She shrugs her shoulders but still doesn't say anything. Justin approaches us, and sits next to me. I'm glad of late, Justin hasn't told me about his love for me again. His eyes seem to be somewhere else and I'm yet to find out where.

" Hello guys",He says.

"Hello Jay", we all say.

I notice Jane appearance has changed. Her face has turned a good shade of pink, and she quickly looks away when Justin looks at her side.

"Hey there redhead, why are you so quiet? "He asks with a smirk on his face.

Jane blushes deeply. She looks away and bites her lip.

" Er.. r no. "

Justin chuckles and I see Jane getting angry. He looks at her in a very strange manner.

And what is wrong with Jane?

She seemed to be uncomfortable around Justin. I understand that she hates him but this is entirely different. It seems like she's avoiding him and doesn't want to talk to him.

"Don't you dare call me a redhead!"She snaps.

I wonder where the bravery has come from all of a sudden, and it had been just a while ago when she'd been shivering and fearing him.

"Woah, look at that. So brave, huh? "

Jane just glares at him without saying anything but I know she wants to slap him.

" Hey Jay, leave Jane alone. Why do you always have to pick on her? "

" It's because I love to see her angry. She's so cute when angry. "

By now, Jane had already moved to another desk, away from us and went to sit next to Terrie.

"She's cute? That means you like her Justin!" I said trying to study his face.

"What! Me like her? "He exclaimed.

I now knew why Justin would always pick on Jane everytime he had a chance. If he thought that she was cute, that could only mean that he liked her even from the start. But no. He couldn't have told me he loved me.

The lecturer comes in class before I get a chance to reply to him. I'm also happy to see Niall and the other boys get into class.

Louis sits opposite me, and Niall next to Justin. Zayn sits next to Linda as usual and Harry next to Terrie.

"How're you princess? "Louis says.

I smile and say," I'm good Louis, how have you been? "

He smiles and says he'd been fine. I am really glad to have friends like Louis because they really know how to keep me smiling everyday.

The class ends and Niall immediately comes to my side as we walk to the cafeteria. We take our seats as the woman who works there ask for our orders.

"I missed you Kaity", he says.

I give him a smile and say, "I missed you too Niall."

He smiles and then take a sip from his cup.
From the corner of my eye, I see Jane hugging someone. I didn't see who the guy is since they're some distance away. From what I could see, I  could only guess it's someone very familiar to me. Someone like Justin.

Could it be him?
