Chapter 41

NIALL'S POV

"What the hell do you want? I told you to stay away!"I yelled at the person on the other end of the line.

I had tried all I could to stop her from calling. I had yelled at her to no avail. I hung up and went back to the room. Kaitlyn was still sleeping and I didn't want her to hear what I'd been saying. I really wanted to tell her about it but I didn't know where to begin. Kaitlyn stirs in her sleep and looks up and meets my eyes. I really feel guilty and I cannot even meet her eyes. Seeing her like this, made me so angry at myself and very very guilty.

How can I tell her this?

"Good morning babe? "She says smiling warmly.

I smile at her and say," Good morning sweetheart. Had a nice sleep? "

She smiles again and then crosses the room. She hugs me and gives me a slight kiss on the lips.

" My sleep was very good."

I look at her very intently just wishing what I'd been wanting to tell her could be simple. But no matter how much I tried, I always fear how her reaction will be. I decide to tell her, no matter what her reaction will be but I would try to make her understand.

"Kaitlyn, I have something to t.. tell you ", I say.

Instead, she tugs me by my arm and hugs me tighter. From what I could see, I wouldn't be able to tell her today, because now she is really tempting me.

" Kaity... ", I try again.

She notices my sudden change and becomes serious. She goes back to sit on the bed and I join her there. I hold her hand and clear my throat to tell her.

Just before I could tell her anything, my phone rings loudly. I gulp thinking it's the person I'd been talking to earlier. I eye Kaitlyn cautiously before I go to retrieve my phone.
Thankfully, it's not the person . Instead, it's mom who is calling.

"Yes mom. I miss you too. "I say happily on hearing my mother 's voice.

She then asks me to attend my brother's birthday party which would be held when the school closes. Honestly, I'd missed them all very much. I beam with happiness and go back to the edge of the bed.

" My mom says hi. "I tell her.

I already told my mom about her and she wants to meet her and know her well. Considering how I'd been praising her and talking about her to my mom, she has been wanting to meet her now more than ever.

" Is everybody alright? "She asks smiling.

I nod and hold her again.

" Kaity, will you go to Mullingar with me? "I ask hoping she'd say yes.
She smiles widely and she jumps in bed and hugs me tightly and says," Yes Niall! I'll go with you! "

I let out a sigh of relief because I'd been fearing she'd say no. Now I have a reason to be happy.

" Thank you so much Kaity. Thank you! "

But still there's one thing I'd been dreading most. Will I be able to tell her?
Seeing her happy like this, made me want to change my mind about telling her. But I knew I would have to tell her sooner or later. It had to be sooner before it's too late.
